I actually don't feel this way. And this is not because I am a huge fan of Barun or anything, I am equally a fan of Sanaya. I think it's more to do with the characters rather than the actors. Khushis hugs are always tight and look perfect because one, most of the hugs have been initiated by her and two, Arnav has only hugged her when she needed them, or at points when he knew she would hug back. Arnav has given equally as tight hugs, such as the one where she came running into his arms after she got scared, the one during the kidnapping, that one after the kidnapping, the one after he gives her the necklace. His hugs vary according to the situation he's in, if he were to give her a really tight hug with all of that anger, frustration and worry inside him today, it wouldn't have worked.

Just saw that scene and felt that it was meant to be that way. Arnav was shocked and he was trying to comprehend the situation. His words after the hug justifies that. He wanted to go out and bash Khushis family but when Khushi stopped him he said that he can't understand why people are making such fuss about it. Yes Arnav we can't either. No one can seperate legally weded couples just like that.
Anyway he felt that these people are making fuss for no reasons at all and was shocked. That hug was not meant to be passionate but it was a hasty one. Khushi wanted to find comfort and he was taken aback.
IMO it was an OK shot.

i hv always loved how khushi hugs... from the beginning, i hv watched her each and every hug and felt so warm be it payaliya, buaji, anjali, amma, La... and used to think arnav must be feeling so jealous...lol...

Because he loves her. When he's with Khushi, he's not ASR. He's just Arnav. Just plain old Arnav. Hurt, achy, and whether he admits it or not, always in pain.

Well today he didn't hug properly because he was angry at whoever slapped khushi!
