Are rituals more important than someone's feelings, They're required to give a name to the relationship - otherwise it is invalid. I suppose people do think like that. As for the current track, I feel only arnav is doing the pulling of his emotions, khushi's emotions, at present, seem to be a bit weak! Whether it is because she is steeped in traditions or wants a ritualistic ceremony sooo much, I'm not sure. It seems to me that he is the only one fighting. I wonder where this will lead - certainly not remarriage, at least not easily.
What about Dadi? She's intent on separating khushi and arnav and khushi can never stand up for herself against anyone other than arnav? She's all ok to give him grief over everything, but she can't stand up for them, for their relationship!
Some people might hate me for saying this, but respect is a two way street - people don't derive respect by virtue of age, they deserve respect by virtue of their deeds and actions. Dadi is disrecptful of khushi, Mami is disrespectful of Payal and these girls continue to take it!
Being from a middle class family doesn't make you less self respecting or a coward that you're completely bound by traditions and forget everything else!
I don't have an issue with the current track, but the way it is going, I think Dadi will do something or say something to keep them apart and khushi will agree, her self sacrificing nature at fore! And if this happened, I think I would hate her for it. Why not think about the one whom you love beyond reason, don't you need to be his strength?, his salvation, his support and why not trust him to make things right?
What has this serial become, a suspense-cum-bash the daughter-in-laws story?!?!?!?
