As far as I can tell, the Khushi pushing the mystery box scene was just a filler to show/justify the transition from pensive/angry Arnav post the showdown with Dadi, back to flirty Arnav at the puja.
The sole purpose of that scene was to show him getting distracted by his wife, putting Dadi out of his mind and focusing on his wife again.
I'm not complaining, I definitely get why such a scene was needed at that point, but I do wish it hadn't involved pointless box-pushing!
