Arnav & Khushi
Past Erased - Love Wins
After Arnav saw Khushi on the terrace, the image was etched in his mind. Something more powerful than that image was needed to erase that picture of betrayal. Every time Arnav's relationship with Khushi began making the slightest progress, the terrace image flashed before his eyes. Every time he saw Shyam, he remembered his words.
It all changed when Arnav saw the extent Khushi walked to rescue him from death. Arnav finally accepted his heart for this girl who had hurt him the most, when he'd almost told her of his feelings. His perceptions began to change. Khushi joined him in the kidnappers den, she got hurt in his place, refused to leave him till he'd hit her, and even then followed him till she found him, fought off the goons with him, and finally nearly died.
When Khushi told Arnav it was Shyam who was behind all the ugliness, Arnav didn't think back to the terrace scene. He remembered how he knew Khushi to be. He remembered her lying nearly lifeless in his arms.
The past was erased for Arnav.
He accepted that Khushi may have erred in hiding the truth from him, but her love for him has won him completely. He'd surrendered to their love, and has now committed to keeping her in his life for good. All he remembers now is that he loves Khushi, she is his wife, and he wants to give her all the joy and happiness in the world.
When Khushi first met Arnav, he broke her string of pearls that held her clothes together. Though Khushi moved on from there, her perception about Arnav was based on that one moment when he didn't think twice before ripping the pearls on her clothes. Every time Arnav hurt her, she knew what this man could be like. Every time he proved how ruthless he could be, she remembered the night when she first met him.
All of that changed when Arnav got kidnapped and Khushi accepted her feelings for the one man who'd hurt her most. She accepted that she was in love with him and could go to any extent for him. She saw what this man did, and now has been doing for her. She has seen him change over time. She knows well that he loves her no end and would not let her out of his life, unless she tricks him. She dared to dream that he'd bring her pearls.
Tonight, she saw the string of pearls, she didn't remember the night when he broke her pearl strings. She remembered her dream in which Arnav gifted her pearls.
The past is erased for Khushi.
She's accepted that he may have erred in misjudging her and mistrusting her, but his love has finally won her heart. She too has surrendered to their love and has stated that she'd follow him. All she remembers now is that she loves him and she wants to see him happy (even if she has to give up her happiness for it, which is in being with him).
There is yet another memory to be erased forever. The memory of the forced contractual wedding must be erased and replaced.
Hide & Seek
1. Hum Di ko khud hi dhoond lenge
Yeh right! The great fixer of all problems is here. Khushi, girl, when will you learnt this most precious lesson of all for you - Stop messing in what you should not be messing in!
2. This time if Khushi's run away, I swear...!
I'd actually have enjoyed seeing whatever he swears to do!
3. Khushi seems to consider it an achievement when she solves a problem without anyone knowing that there was a problem to begin with.
She's again not told Arnav that she spotted Anjali talking to 'no one'. It may be that Arnav understands her action as not wanting to worry him, but then again, he may also be justified in being angry that she did not tell him.
4. Aap chaliye hum aa rahen hain... apke peeche peeche
Yup! Khushi is following Arnav. Thankfully. At last. Hope she stays this way, following him, because by herself, she is one disaster after another.
The 'Chalte hain' changed to 'aa rahien hain'. Bravo, Arnav! Dude, you got your girl back! We know it ain't an easy thing to get that firecracker of a girl to follow you. She's already got you following her around. If your own written destiny favors you, who knows, she might stand true to her word and follow you, actually.
5. Khushi lied yet again and Arnav caught her yet again.
It was a nice way to tell her though that he knew she was lying when she said the kurta was NK's idea. He kept wearing it and criticized it. LOVE the way Arnav provoked her into blurting out the truth.
Khushi, wake up to his tactics now! It's been more than a year of knowing him and 6 months of being married to him.
Being Perfect!?
Arnav seems to be on a perfection spree!
He was playing a perfect romantic lover boy when he was trying to woo Khushi, doing things he'd never done, even to the point of following NK's advice.
He played a perfect son-in-law when he paid the rent of Bua Ji's house. When stopped by Khushi, he bought the place, thereby removing the need for rent altogether.
He played the perfect brother when he agreed to please his sister by wearing one of her gifted Kurtas on the Rakhi day.
Now, he's found the perfect way to please his wife. He acknowledges that expensive and rare things do not find appreciation with her. It's as simple as channa, jalebi, and gol gappe. It's not gold and diamonds, it's a string of pearls.
Some Facts about Anjali
1. It is Anjali's prayer and wish that Arnav finds love in his life. It is her prayer that is being answered, her wish being granted in Arnav finding Khushi and marrying her. Neither Arnav nor Khushi ever wanted to be related in any way - not until after several unwitting events, Anjali brought them together.
2. Anjali can never knowingly hurt or harm Arnav. Or even Khushi for that matter, or anyone else. She is not the type of person who'd hurt someone and be happy about it - least of all, Arnav or the one he loves and cannot live without.
3. Arnav is as important for Anjali, as she is important for him. They together are the ones who hold their family together, though they both are broken when it comes to their own family.
4. Anjali is very well aware (has always been) of Arnav's loneliness. She is aware that he does not share his heart with anyone. This is what concerns her, because there are things Arnav would not share even with Anjali. This is why Khushi is important. Somehow, Khushi has broken through the wall and Arnav willingly shares his heart with her.
5. For a long time, Anjali has been aware that Arnav listens to Khushi (even when La was around). The perception was that because she refused to give in and stands up to him, he ends up listening to her. She gets him to do what the family wants, by hook or by crook - the usual Khushi ways. She is one of the first people who saw Arnav being interested in Khushi, enough to buy her bangles, get jealous if NK was mentioned in the same sentence as Khushi, and even fussing over her if she passed out.
She is aware of Arnav's feelings for her. She has been made to witness how deeply Arnav loves Khushi. She has been made to hear Arnav tell her that she is the girl without whom he'd never be able to live.
6. Anjali's sole concern and intent with Arnav was that he should not lead his life alone. Whether it was with La or with Khushi, she's worked only towards getting Arnav a partner he needs. She thought La was the one he loved, so she did all she could to bring the family and La to reconcile so that Arnav would have the one he loves. Later, when she saw it was Khushi whom Arnav finally married, she helped Khushi know Arnav better and win Arnav's heart. (Of course, at the time Khushi wasn't interested in anything about winning Arnav's heart.)
7. Her current circumstances have led her to be distant from Khushi, yet ever since Arnav's told her that he loves Khushi and she is the one person whom Anjali wanted to be in his life - she has made attempts to talk to Khushi - even though Khushi's lies hurt her.
Off late, even receiving flowers from her and thanking her for making Arnav wear the kurta.
All these might impact Anjali a lot when Shyam is around.
She does love Shyam very much and is unable to live a complete and happy life without him. She says she wants to make a fresh start. At the same time, Shyam is seemingly meeting and talking to Anjali. She is unable to let go of the past.
Dadi Ji, welcome to RM
Dadi Ji literally has the RM-waasis scared of her; even Mami Jaan. Is she that hard to deal with? She's been out of commission for 14 years!
Arnav seems to be worried about her? Doesn't look like he has the same emotions towards her as towards his Dad, as of now! He actually went to bring her to RM several times. Maybe she's a sound head whom Arnav wouldn't mind keeping at RM.
One good thing about Dadi ji might be - Mami Jaan is scared of her.
Another good thing might be, Arnav and Khushi's marriage is coming to an end. The remarriage, if at all it happens, may be blessed by families on both sides.
The better thing: Oh well, Arnav's past and Khushi's past linked by something probably nasty. Dadi Ji has been in the Ashram since the 'incident' because of 'that woman'.
The best thing: Ah! Shyam is lurking round the corner! Does he come back because Dadi ji needs to see Damad ji with Anjali bitiya?
Others
1. The enemy always comes in from the weak spot in the wall.
There goes the dark shadow.
2. Oh! And Anjali is being kept out of the loop of Dadi Ji gone missing. Why?
3. Akash, keeping secret from your wife, because the secret belongs to your brother?
Kind of rings a bell? Payal kept a secret because the secret belonged to her sister!
On the Lighter Side
1. I know romance-shomance is in the air.. and I really don't know about you guys!!
But, sheesh, waking up to see a chap staring at you with unblinking eyes - is creepy, to begin with! Just try switching the Rabba Vey to Aahat theme and you'll see what I'm talking about.
2. I mean, did he just sit there watching her sleep all night waiting for her to wake up in the morning? Okay! That's ... original ... to say the least!
Sheesh! Sleeping and waking up score highest on the Most Mundane Activity of EVERYDAY!! And he decides to stare her into waking up when it's 8 days for his marriage. What were you doing for the past 6 months, Buddy!!
3. Hamari Baat abhi khatam nahi hui.
Yeh lo! Jo baat shuru nahi hui, woh khatam kaise hogi?
4. And what baat? You didn't squeak a word!!
Actually, the dialog writer went off for a vacation trusting Rabba-Vey to cover it, Arnav to use his eyes, and Khushi to stop breathing.
Oh! And of course, for Nani Ji to knock!
5. Speaking of which, Nani Ji was probably the only who hadn't disturbed Arnav-Khushi ever. I s'pose she was feeling left out.
Way to go, Nani Ji!
Any others lining up outside their door?
Precap
A lady entering RM - apparently Dadi Ji.
On the Side
Arnav vs. the Door
Arnav, Buddy you really have no use for doors in your house. Especially, these just do not work for you!
You wanted to propose to your would be girlfriend, and open the door to find her on the terrace with a snake.
You want to fight with your wife. The doors do not conceal your voice and the family lands in your private fight.
Your wife is alone in your room, the snake has an easy access.
You celebrate your wife's birthday, people walk in without bothering to knock.
You try to kiss your wife, your house help comes in and announces what he has to announce without batting an eyelid.
Finally, Arnav's had it. He doesn't care if the door is open or not. After all, how does it matter anyway? Even if he closes it, either someone walks in or it gets knocked!
He goes on to surprise and hug his wife keeping his door wide open. And who bothers in any case. When he approaches his wife the next morning, the door is knocked. Again!
Arnav, remove the doors, Buddy! Koi fayeda nahi!
