seriously, i am a white addict and i could die of a kurta od. grew up in delhi during the guru kurta days, hep girls wore khadi, silver, and kolhaps (lingo from merawala purana zamana), handsome men wore khadi kurtas with chang pyjamas, usually at home, often white. or, i still remember falling flat for a friend of my uncle who arrived in his beetle in shocking pink khadi guru kurta and jeans. 40 odd years, still the pink looks cool.

i spent the better part of my twenties and thirties in khadi kurtas and shalwars. short, solid shades, loads of whites. still have some stacked in my cupboard a la our man. our reasons are different, that's all.

so. if he wore a white, plain, simple, sexy, long or short khadi or linen or fine muslin kurta with narrow pyjamas and glided down those steps in slow motion, i'd be dead and not posting.

embroidered kurta in unknown material just doesn't do it for me. or for this man's sense of fashion. i adored him in weird purple, because it was true to this guy's ishtyle. but yeh bilackbuster surprisiya, kuch flat fall kiya.

of course, he didn't buy it, his di did. and her choice is what it is, but surely she knows humarey chhote's tastes, or does it not matter?

ps: i just noticed the cuff with wide bead jhalar. someone really doesn't know her brother, does she?

After three power packed episodes, the pace slowed down a bit with focus shifting to Rakshabandhan. I liked it though it would have been nice to show more of Arnav and Khushi's conversation, it just came to an abrupt end and all of a sudden a new day begins. Khushi returns home looking stunning, Arnav observes as Manorama does not let up in taking digs at Khushi about why she returned so early, hoping soon this means he will put an end to Khushi being disrespected.

NK is seriously a breath of fresh air, he just lights up the room with his presence and instantly brings a smile to your face with his bubbly nature and bad hindi. He is adorable and I love that he has been included as part of the celebrations

Khushi and Anjali's scene was well done, Khushi made sure it was ok with Anjali before approaching her well aware that tension between them remains. I didn't like how Anjali indirectly lets it be known to Khushi that she would like some of her brother's time but admired the way Khushi handled herself. Khushi did not take those words to heart and instead did her best to make this day special for Anjali. Though the blouse was recycled, it was great to see Khushi in yet another outfit that too a sari and on top of that the beautiful smile on her face. I was dreading seeing Khushi back at RM thinking that smile would once again vanish but her seeing her loved ones so happy was more than enough for her.

NK and Khushi's scenes are always a treat to watch, loved how she roped him in to help her convince Arnav to wear the sherwani Anjali wanted him to wear last year. How times have changed, a year ago he wouldn't have even listened to NK and this year he does and things only get better when he realizes its Khushi who was behind all of this. Its probably why he kept it on afterwards despite being uncomfortable in it, first it was for Di and now for Khushi who I am sure he has something planned for. With only 9 days remaining he must have something up his sleeve, the next step to winning back her heart. That picture of them was too cute for words, their first happily married pic

Don't think much will come out of the precap, Khushi will probably call out to Anjali who will cover and that will be it. This scene was similar to yesterday's where another MU came between Anjali and Khushi, its all about build up to Shyam's return.

An apparent breezier episode after the intense one yesterday ...but. And if you know your IPK CVs well, "but"s always come with their own baggage.

It's Rakshabandhan at RM. The backdrop leading to the festival is surreal. Last year Arnav 'forced' a reluctant Khushi to come back to RM on Di's demand. This year also he convinced Khushi to come back to RM but the Di-Khushi equation is completely changed.
Khushi reaches out for Di , bringing a rakshadhaaga for protection of Di and her unborn child and offers to tie it on her. But her offer is politely rejected and comes with a wish that Di gets to spend more time with her Chotey. A message which doesn't go unnoticed, as Khushi's smile is wiped out. The "but" moment #1.

Khushi ,being who she is, starts seeking ways to bring the elusive smile on Arnav's Di. She, through her ever helping sakha Nanheji, convinces Arnav to wear one of Anjali's gifts of Kurta Pajama as she knows from previous instance (Btw if I remember correctly Khushi had heard that brother siser exchange during Janmashtami , but seemed like this was a different occasion...an editing blooper?) that is one of Anjali's wishes to see her Chotey in Kurta Pajama.

Anjali was beside herself with happiness on realization of the special efforts her family has gone through to make the day special for her: by decorating the mandir with flowers, and biggest surprise of watching Chotey come down the stairs in Kurta Pajama. Something struck me today during the episode, that Anjali always makes it so much about "humare": Humare Chotey, humare baat (saaNse rukh jayegi exchange between bro and sis after the satsang 'debacle'), humare diya hua Kurta and last but not the least humare woh. Is it just a harmless adaat or a bit of narcissism with far-reaching consequence?

A beautiful rakhi tying sequence follows where the love between the brother and sister is palpable and Arnav reiterates the fact that with Di there, mother's absence is not felt. The background score just enhances the heartwarming moment as a lingering backdrop.

Arnav is shown throughout the episode talking about surprise for Di, jewellery for Di, talking to Aman about packages and then showing relief on seeing HP with three gift bags. Makes you curious what's in those bags.

Well I kept my fangirling in check till he starts fidgeting in the Kurta Pajama and asks HP to send Khushi. He has guessed from Khushi's over-enthusiastic "Nanheji!!" declaration that it is really she who has conspired with NK to get him in ethnic clothes. I don't think Mr Raizada will let his wife go 'unpunished' for pulling the trick on him...going by his 12 day plan of getting up-close and personal with Mrs Raizada till he gets her where he wants. I hope the CVs will not do ramanchi with us poor souls again.

Meanwhile Khushi the lone ranger, investigator is about to probably discover who Anjali's mysterious caller is. The "but " moment # 2.

Highlight:

Wow!...finally a day where the Raizada family looked "rich" and beautiful. Sanaya was beautiful in the orange saree. Akshay and Karan looking handsome in their ethnic wear.

But amidst all the beautiful colors, one elegant white Kurta Pajama was pure vision in white. Reminded me of delectable white chocolate: decadent and divine! And this I came up after several clinical viewing of the episode. All for pure analysis purpose.

A very nice episode , a swift change from yesterday ending scene to Rakshabandhan but it was a special day for Anjali and it was nice to watch, hoping Arnav and Khushi don't forget their little chat so quickly, it would be nice if we get some continuity with the conversation they head, but the day is not yet over so will wait and watch.

What a surprise that everyone looking great in the same episode😊 special mention for Khushi, I have no negative thoughts on her clothes, she looked gorgeous and although I prefer ASR in his suits, he looked dashing as well😍

cute scene where NK took the photo of Arnav and Khushi smiling at the camera together, will we get to see it in a frame in their room, hopfully NK might just do that😉 also very sweet Arnav waiting for Khushi to come to the room before changing,after all it was her idea😊

The Anjali and Khushi scene clearly shows that Anjali resentment towards Khushi hasn't just vanished, the lie about Buaji health only made it worst, her insecurities of the people she loves leaving her only is going against Khushi, interesting that Anjali didn't mention anything to either Arnav or Khushi about the lie, I predict there are going to be some very interesting times ahead for brother and sister.

parsha, you are funny. watch out, i may take you back with me. ha ha ha ha that UNUSED was too good and kinda poignant. i feel bad for our television actors, the strange wardrobe practices of the industry. poor babies. actually, sanaya's saree was also a bit too much for me. the colour felt all wrong on her, no need to elaborate on the material or pattern (reminded me of the jhatka sponge/tinsel/plastic rakhis i used to tie on my bros once upon a time), and i felt she looked old. but, not important, ho jata hai kabhi kabhi, at least we got her in what she looks best in on that spectacular "tum aisa hone dogi" scene.

A very nice episode for me as on a personal front I was missing my brother on this day and it did bring some fond memories. Today's write-up is dedicated to this festival and all brother and sisters in this world.😳

Episode opens with all coming together in the family to celebrate a festival close to their heart- it is sister's day out and for such family where sister's happiness is the central focus of everyone's life, no doubt this was all about making her happy.

Khushi goes to meet his Di and a very significant scene takes place. She wishes good for his Di and always has wished good only but destiny has made her biggest reason for this woman's grief. We all can argue over how anjali should behave with khushi, I guess for every woman it will be difficult to shower love on that woman who was object of desire for her husband. Anjali says that she doesn't need anything special from her chotte just need his some time .Enough has been written over this sister about her possessiveness and her jealousy .For them it was eye opener, she just needs him to be by her side just for some moments perhaps. These moments are necessary to keep that faith intact that she is still same Di for her chotte.

Here for a change I will mention Khushi thoughts too for this bond (Don't laugh,I can be unbiased at times 😆)

She doesn't have a real family alive and this one real relation exists for her husband-most important person in her life. We may wonder why this brother-sister bond is important for khushi.It is important as somewhere she sees arnav having that relation which she never had. No doubt her foster family loves her and her jiji too loves her but she is still adopted for them. She voiced it out too today that she wished she had bond like theirs.

Now coming to my favorite part.

A brother does a small gesture and is helped of course by his love in that. A small gesture enough to bring smile on his di's face. I am too emotional to pen down on that scene so I take help of a song to describe a Brother's feelings for his sister.

All she needs is little love from her brother and her brother knows it.That was the only reason he came back that night to her for kheer .He understands her pain but is helpless to bring her happiness back ,her love back. She is facing perhaps one of most difficult times in her life but there is brother's assurance that he is by her side, she just has to face truth. But sadly she seems to be going to other side this time .What she believes in 'her brother's truth or her delusional love is what will decide the future of their relation.

On last scene ' will wait fr tomorrow on that but just want to add a last bit.-I love that man in white kurta'.Please give him such clothes more often!!

My experiences when I saw the episode at 8 pm last night:

The room full of guests like abt 20 ppl who were giving me weird looks coz i put on tv during such time n then all my cousins gather around me looking into my face coz they were irritated of my BS talk since a very long time!!😆 😆 N then BS comes down in that Sherwani n i was like not blinking my eyes looking at him n they had a good laugh looking at me☺️ ☺️

Then HP came into the room during the phone call, n when Arnav said Khushi ko bhej do, i was like No Arnav not today please, dont do anything today, u can't do anything with Khushi today!!!☺️ Thank God kal kuch nahi huva warna mein tho wahi marjaathi!!!😆 😆 😆
