The moment I saw Arnav trying to read khushi's eyes, this song popped up into my head!And what a song it is. For me it defined today's subtle romance. The questions that were asked by him, the answers that were evaded by her, the promise that he made silently and the defiance she attempted, the challenge that he threw, the challenge that she accepted.
Oh this is romance at its best. And aren't we fortunate to be part of its every phase!😃
So shall we start at the dissection?...Here it goes:
Seg1 :
Arnav falls taking khushi along with him. Buaji and Garima come and buaji suggests to give a massage to relieve the pain. A fact which makes khushi very happy, arnav little uncomfortable. Garima suggests khushi should give the massage, a fact which makes Arnav very happy and Khushi very uncomfortable😆..Arnav uses khushi's help to walk to the room.
Things to ponder:
- The first thing that struck me was the min khushi is off Arnav after Buaji and Garima enter the picture, she immediately assists him, forgetting that she has a leg sprain. A leg sprain because of which he had to carry her in the first place..A woman soo in love!😃
- Garima is sensible.She understood the plight of her pyaare daamdji, his discomfort at that.So the natural course of action would be to suggest khushi to give the massage.
- The minute khushi's name is out of Garima's mouth, a mischievous thought pops in his head, he uses the opportunity and is delighted by it.The minute khushi starts resisting, he feigns that he is indeed in lot of pain and the only person who can ever lessen it is khushi. I loved Barun's expressions here. The total bechara act was very nicely done. But what I loved most was the walk in the end. He deliberately takes her support just to fluster her, annoy her knowing very well that she cannot walk away from him at that time. 😆
Seg2:
Khushi comes with Sarso ka tel. Arnav ,the ever so masoom, takes off his shirt in front of a wide eyes, flustered and totally affected khushi. He asks her to assist him, she does it with her heart in her mouth and smile wiped out from her face. Arnav who always want to see her smiling, asks her to smile, which she does "obediently". He pulls her to him and they have a "moment".
Things to ponder:
- The minute he starts to take off his shirt, the tiny scream that she let out was lovely..Dont call me a saddist to find someone's screaming as a source of entertainment 😆. But it was so naturally done and totally gelled with the character. It would have been a surprise if she wouldn't have made that noise considering the solid traditional values she has.
- He is constantly bothered about her disappearing smile. How can he see her not smiling. That is just an Awwable moment😳! and If smiles could kill, he would be so dead right that minute!😆
- The almost kiss scene was just a stance by Arnav to tell khushi that she is his for lifetime! He would never cross the invisible line till he knows she is ready to cross it. He knows all this will fluster her but then that is his aim. Just to ruffle her a little, to convince her how much his proximity affects her. Its not about showing who is the boss, its about seeking that acknowledgement from her. Loved the flick of the nose with that super dangerous smile of his😳.
Seg 3:
(This needs a whole segment 😆)
khushi gives him massage and he pins her down and teases her.
Things to ponder:
- The minute she touches his back, what was that involuntary jerk of his head, parting of his lips?😳. Oh my! Such subtle nuance, but enough to cause a heart attack ☺️. Beautifully done by Barun.👏
- Loved his deliberate stopping at "Buaji theek kehti hai, tumhaare haath ...*pause*...kaanp rahe hain"😆..A mischievous ASR, a totally breathless and slightly disoriented khushi and our dil goes hmmm...As a viewer, this scene filled me with delight and happiness coz this is the perfect definition of a hatke love-story, of a romance which has its own charm that cannot be explained in words. I love this subtle way of storytelling.
- The total disbelief of khushi when Arnav asks her if she prayed for his fall. She was literally shouting at his back " I, I will pray for your fall, for you to get hurt? Are you out of your mind Mr Harvard-return Raizada"? And because she can neither refuse it nor acknowledge, she dodges his question with a question of her own. "Appko kya lagta hai".😃
- As he is her equal in all aspects, how can he just answer her question. He has to again answer it with a question of his own. And the pyaar mein total paagal premi had no other way of asking it other than flipping his gorgeous wife and questioning her eyes.

I loved loved this scene for its underlying emotions. The song dedicated above defines this moment for me. He seeks with his eyes the answers that will soothe his soul and she understands his question and tries to evade him. She is scared that he will find out the truth, thats why the tentative "kya jawaab mila aapko" ? But he has already read it, understood it, acknowledged and accepted it. As he himself said when she is silent, her eyes cannot lie. They are not lying now and he reads all the love that she has for him.Loved Loved this scene to bits!👏 - He said "accha hua hum gire "..not main, not tum but hum...Because they have fallen together..Not on the floor, but in love, with each other. They have fallen and risen in love! 😛
- His "phir se laal ho gayi" and his following smile of contentment was the challenge he threw at her.
"khushi you will say this to me one day, and i can see that day is nearing".
"I will not say it Arnavji. I can't"
"Yes you will khushi, I will make you say it because I love you too".
Is it any wonder that i am obsessed about them!😍
I am not going into the whole gift wrapping segment into detail. The thing to ponder here is that Arnav didnt leave any chance to look at khushi.😆 His reading of that book was as much naatak as his "buaji aap log maalish ke liye insist kar rahe ho to theek hai. khushi tum kar do" was. 😆. All he wanted was a bahana to watch khushi at her self, see her smiling, see her content with a small task of packing gifts! Loved the setting.
Seg 4:
Arnav goes back to RM. Spends time with Anjali and eats kheer. He then "orders" khushi to not sleep the whole night as he may need something anytime. Khushi being the sanka-devi that she is, doesnt let him sleep either 😆
Things to ponder:
- Arnav has to balance both the scales of his life. While he is trying his best to woo khushi and win her back, he cannot let his di take a side line. Doesnt this tell so much about the Man that hides beneath the tough exterior? He knows his di will not have kheer without him and so he comes to her with the plate filled with his promise and love! Really liked the scene and the way they presented it. For Arnav to remain as a whole, ASR the lover and Chotte the brother has to maintain the balance!👍🏼
- His "mujhe miss kar rahi thi" totally got her. She lost the track of her thoughts and fumbled! Her expressions said "Arrey, inhein kaise pata chala "..I enjoyed that so much. Arnav is having gala of a time teasing khushi like this because he knows its affecting her!
- Khushi is his soulmate in all sense of the world. So if he will not let her sleep, then how in the world can she let him doze off. Of course not 😆. Loved Sanaya and Barun both in this. The nok-jhok was sensible, not OTT and they both were completely in character. Thank you CVs for not taking this scene over the top. Immensely enjoyed it.
- Is that manager Aman?Has our wish been granted at last? If not, then how many manager does Arnav has? A serious doubt...😕
Precap: Again I will wait till tomorrow to see how this unfolds.
