I might be the among minority today but I actually loved the ME maybe because I wasn't expecting something extravagant and was just hoping to watch a good episode. The episode was a build up for the upcoming episodes and it was a breath of fresh air. We were promised Khushi's birthday for the ME. Isn't that what we got? Does it always have to be full of romance? What about other aspects of human relationships?
Gupta house was the perfect contrast to Shantivan and it was great seeing Buaji, Babuji and Garima after so long. In the last couple of days, I felt the gloom residing in Shantivan and today I felt the much needed warmth.
It was lovely to see Khushi's smile and bonding with her family after so long. It was great to see her become the sanka devi who went missing since the kidnapping fiasco. Isn't that what we wished to see?
Babuji is getting better which a good progress in terms of the story and after a long time, we saw the beautiful father-daughter bond which we rarely get to see. I could feel the depth of love and respect Babuji and Khushi have for each other. Arnav smile when Khushi hugged babuji and Garima was again a treat to watch.
Arnav Singh Raizada might be the laad governor, but his entire attitude falls short in front of buaji. He becomes the boy who doesn't want to upset his buaji at any cost and can have puri after puri to make her happy. At the Gupta's he not ASR or Arnav, he is the son.
Loved the aashirwaad from Buaji. Sadaa suhagan raho. Their relationship is blessed by DM herself and their elders. It is an eternal bond, that can't be broken. Loved the eye lock they shared at that moment. The nazar utaro scene was significant too and what's interesting was that Arnav witnessed it . Khushi will be protected from all evil and Arnav will be by her side, guarding her and protecting her from all harm.
The fact that he was struggling so much to say Happy Birthday was so cute. Khushi didn't treat the gift badly. It's the crazy Khushi who doesn't understand why a bag should cost so much. I rofld when he said she has no sense of fashion. Who would have thought that the mighty ASR would carry wifey bag on one hand and vegetables on the other?
It's amazing how far they have come along. A year ago, the cost of the handbag would have sparked an aukaad debate but now they pull each other's legs and have a laugh about it.
Khushi lives up to her name. Her birthday didn't just fill the Gupta house with happiness but it eased the environment of Shantivan too. Naniji does love Khushi a lot and the fact that she didn't want the family to know increased her in respect in naniji's eyes. She wholeheartedly gave her blessings.
Arnav bringing up the contract has surely hurt Khushi but her heart knows he doesn't mean it. All she was expecting from Arnav was a simple birthday wish and her face lit up when she saw Arnav get a gift for her and later when she found out he told naniji about her birthday.
Arnav isn't making efforts to please her so she stays with him. He is genuinely trying to do something nice for his love on her birthday.
It was great to see NK back and Payal as the caring sister. Someone needs to Akash hit on his head to knock some sense in to him.
I really wasn't happy with Anjali at all since the Shyam fiasco. In fact I was angry with the way she was behaving but today I couldn't help but feel sad for her too. She didn't snatch those flowers from Khushi. She is looking for her happiness and when she saw the roses it reminded her of what she lost. The hug between the bro-sis was touching and Khushi wouldn't mind even if those flowers were meant for her. Her happiness lies in everyone else's smile.
It was complete episode full of emotions and bonding. All the characters were utilized well. As for the romance, it will come on Monday.
As far as I remember, ME trps are not calculated because the trp of the last ME was not added for that week's average.
