I tried thinking .. but I couldn't .. because if love could be encompassed & slotted would it be TRUE LOVE ..

Ever wondered how many gestures are there to show your love for a person'. I couldn't give it a number .. because if you could count your feelings & give them a finite equation would that be LOVE

Ever wondered if Love can be unconditional not the love between parents & kids .. but between 2 individuals can that be unconditional .. well if it was conditional then was it LOVE

Today what I saw in the 18 minutes was so many definitions of love that the maker left me stunned .. I ask u dear reader .. is LOVE only holding hands .. is love just saying I L U .. is love just catching the girl in your arms when she falls .. is love only a physical consummation .. What is LOVE '

Let me share with you the love that I witnessed in 18 minutes today ''

... Today I saw a shattered woman who was shattered because the one thing you want to do in LOVE is bring happiness to the person you LOVE .. but here she feels she is the cause of his SADNESS

For me the start of the episode portrayed the brilliance of the maker today .. the MAN behind the scene was in his ELEMENT ..

Let me explain '

Khushi is shattered & walks into her room .. here she reminisces with some FBS .. now see the FBs .. She remembers ..

Arnav Anjali in the Temple .. .. the dialogue Di mujhe maaf kardo .. The only person this Man has bowed in front of

Anjali tying Arnav rakhi with a BG of Khushi in the middle .. Khushi has today come in between Arnav & Anjali ( atleast as she sees it)

Anjali Smiling & doing Arnav's Aarti on rakhi with a doting & indulgent Arnav standing in front .. the sheer purity of Anajlis happiness & glow says it all ...a happiness & glow today which is all but extinguished by KHUSHI ( in her mind)

Anjali dragging Arnav out of her room with Arnav saying you cant do this you cant separate Me from you .. I did all this for you ' Khushi in the background witnessing the same .. she knows he married her for his Di .. to keep her illusionary world intact the world which was brutally smashed by Khushi ( in her mind) she feels her existence is widening the distance between the brother & sister ..

What a wonderful use of BGs ... they just told the mental condition of Khushi so well .. a woman who Knows today .. that LOVE is all about making the person you LOVE happy .. but Arnav the man she loves . cannot be happy when his Di is UNHAPPY..

Hence she decides to leave ..

The Bedroom Scene:

Yet again these two communicated .. last time they communicated through words which neither could hear .. but the feeling behind was clear .. & once again they spoke .. while the words spoke one LINE the FEELINGS gave the GAME Away.

Now for some Q & A's

Q .Khushi decides to go away because... if she is the cause of so much discord then she prefers to Stay away ' IS that the only reason ?

A. No Khushi decides to go away because she doesn't want ARNAV .. to be caught in between her & his Di ..She decides to go away coz she doesn't Arnav to ever choose between his Love for her & his love for his Di '

Yes Khushi Knows Aranv loves her .. & even when he is talking nonsensical stuff like contracts She knows he LOVES her.

SHOT 1:

Arnav comes back charging into the room to see a Khushi who is devastated & packing to leave HIM .. he comes upto her & asks her What she was doing & where she was going .. she tells him that he was right in his estimation that she is the cause of all the problems ..Shyam .. Anjali taking such a drastic step .. had she not met Arnav at SheeSh mahal ( here he cuts her).. she says she has decided that she will leave as that is for the BEST

Pause : freeze Frame

Now see the first shot when he enters the room .. he walks in sees her & is struck dumb .. his worst fear has been realized .. she leaving him .. he has a hurt, Shocked look & above all the voice & the face screamed his GUILT at hurting her .. Now look at Khushi .. when she sees him .. she sees the apology .. she hears the desperation .. she sees the underlying love .. she visibly shakes herself .. as if telling herself not to buckle & starts packing ..

Now here for the brilliant storke .. listen to the BG .. its the romantic BG happening .. which they have always used to show when these two are miffed at each other '

Aranv once he steps inside the room .. knows he will have to grovel .. but he is as yet CONFIDENT she will STAY WITH HIM .. he loves her dammit .. so she has to LOVE him back dammit 'he is acting frustrated here .,..

SHOT 2: Release Pause .. progress scene :

Khushi gets up with the bag to go .. Aranv stops her saying you cant go like that .. she says Aranvji please think we never met so saying tries to move on when he steps in front of her saying Stop .. I said a lot of things in anger ..which I did not mean

Pause Freeze Frame:

She is shattered .. he is still thinking the battle can be won .. all it would require is an apology. Now look at the expressions change on Barun's face .. when she says Think we never met ..it is the first SHOCK for him .in essence she is asking them to be 2 strangers .. the main aur aap '. . this is the first time he felt the inkling of how hurt she was .. when she has asked him to deny the existence of HUM .. he still feels he can apologize & get away ( boy u don't know much about women do u ?)

Now for the stroke of brilliance .. there is no BG playing .. cause this was the crucial juncture of the scene when the balance from a simple miffed wife changed to a wife asking him to deny the existence of their togetherness .. this is the juncture from which .. the confidence of ASR starts ebbing .. he is offering her a minor apology with a justification (whoopee boy marriage sure is changing u) ..

SHOT 3: Release Pause : progress secne

He tells her he spoke in anger .. & she comes back with a firm but isn't that true .. all this is happening because of me .. Please don't think I am leaving because I am angry'' this is it . I cant see anyone suffereing because of me ' & I CAN NEVER SEE YOU SUFFERING OR GETTING HURT BECAUSE OF ME .. pause & i CAN NEVER EVER HURT DI .. I CANT BE THE CAUSE OF THE HURT' Hence I am leaving to go to Buaji's house

Pause Freeze Frame :

Look at Aranv's expression when he hears the FRIM RESOUNDING NO .. from Khushi .. this is the first complete ebbing of the confident Mr. ASR .. the layers were ripped apart .. the Man who was left behind was the lover .. the lover who once again was facing the terrible thought of loosing his loved one .. There is the first look of fear in his eyes & face ..

Then the moment .. when all melted away .. Khushi .. tells him she cannot HURT hiM ever .. ( a declaration of love) .. look at the eye lock .. look at the I love You in this Eye lock '. Look the I love you back in his eye lock .. look the desperation in their faces .. look how Khushi is telling him don't force me to stay '. Try understanding why I am doing this & for whom I am doing this .. then she further reaffirms her love .. she tells him that she can never contemplate hurting his DI ' my GOD what a declaration of love .. Look at ASR .. he gulps .. its his first realization on the fact that she loves him 'Look at Khushi .. she is imploring him to understand that hurting Di is DOUBLY HURTING YOU .. I can never DO THAT ( he hasn't as yet caught on to that) ' the tears welling up in her voice the slight catch in her voice all bear testament to her enormous love for this MAN .. he can feel it .. but as yet in unknown the depth of her love for HIM

Stroke of Genius: The BGM is the dramatic Sad one they always use when a big blow is up for the leads .. yea the BIG BLOW which was dealt today Kyon Dard hai itna tere Ishq Mein .. that was the BLOW .. this music changes suddenly to the romantic one once again the moment she says I cannot hurt you .. highlighting the I love You '.Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant

SHOT 4: Release Pause : progress scene

She moves away he holds her hand ' both have backs to each other but Arnav is inclined towards her while Khushi is completely turned away.

Pause freeze Frame:

There he holds on to her .. not letting her go not willing to let go of the LOVE she has just declared. While she is all ready to sacrifice her all for him .. she is ready to sacrifice her smile for a glimpse of his

Stroke of Genius: the BG score here is the romantic one .. celebrating the lovely poignant moment between these two.

Shot 5: Release Pause : Progress Scene

Still same position as previous shot .. he is holding her hand & I wont let you go like this .. she tells him don't stop me I cant keep spreading sadness around here .. he pulls her to him .. firmly & says Khushi listen to me whatever I said to you I dint mean .. PLEASE don't do this right now .. MEIN TUMHARE BINA ' Khushi interrupts telling him I cant stand the fact that I am causing so much problem for Di .. he asks What about ME .. she tells him .. Can you ever be happy if Di is sad? Let me go Arnavji.

Pause Freeze Frame:

Hmmm I don't know what to write ..if this dint touch you ? .. hmmm now I will break this into 3 wonderful segments'.

1. Here don't know if u guys noticed the big difference .. in the heer ranjha scene .. Arnav leaves his declaration of love interrupted & khushi bugs him to answer .. he denys .. today the GREAT ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA .. was going to tell the Woman who he loves I CANT LIVE WITHOUT YOU ,,,, but she cuts him off ' because if she hears it she will crumble in her resolve ..

2. Then she tells him I cant hurt Di any more ' ( Men I tell you!!!) he actually asks her ..AUR MEIN ? what about hurting me .. is that all you can think about .. family .. what about how hurt I will be if u leave I already told u I cant live without you ..? All there in BArun's expressions & his superb voice modulation

Then she tells him if ur Di is unhappy can u be happy? Meaning .. I can never be the CAUSE OF UR UNHAPINESS .. I'D RATHER SACRIFICE MINE TO SEE A SMILE ON UR FACE'. Declaration No. 3

BANG .. MR. ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA today this small girl called Khushi Kumari Gupta brought you to your knees ' she has shown you the depth for her feelings 'she has shown you the purity of her soul & she has shown you all uncompassing love & she has shown you unconditional love ..

Khushi showed this all to you in the PUREST FORM OF LOVE SACRIFICE.

3. He is stunned .. he is humbled .. he is ashamed . he is full of angst .. the fortress for a moment crumbles ' he is so in alt with her sacrifice ' that his grip on reality falters .. he lets go of her hand '& she walks away ..

Khushi turns to walk away .. Arnav has a long look at her .. moves in & then shuts the door harshly

This is the shot that defined the whole scene today .. hope u guys caught it if not then a strong suggestion to watch it again

The camera is panned only on Arnav .. who at first is humbled by her love & sacrifice, then he moves to acceptance of her love .. he moves to poignancy he has a bit of fear creeping in & a hint of defeat creeping in .. he looks down firms his resolve .. & then suddenly .. u can see a visible tightening of his whole face & body .. & suddenly from within comes in MR. ASR ' the man who knows how to cut deals .. whether that is the deal of keeping the woman who is HIS right where she belongs .. BY HIS SIDE .. the man charges upto her & bangs the door closed .. making the firm resolve .. a resolve by the man who doesn't loose .. the man who is most possessive .. the man who is also madly in love .. the Man Arnav Singh Raizada .. the man who has a very BIG EGO

ASR marches ahead & bangs the door shut .. Khushi tells him move let me go .. he tells her you cant go she still turns away & this time he roughly grabs her to turn her around he tells her you cant go how can u break our contract ..remember what I told you on the night of our wedding that we are married for 6 months this is a contract marriage & you cant break a contract remove the thought of going away from your mind. So saying he takes her bag from her hand ..Khushi tells him now after all that has happened you still want to hold me to the contract? ASR turns around .. back to Khushi he tells her its not about what I believe I am telling you like it is .. Khushi tells him what will u do send me to jail .. he says I will do what I told you I will .. I will force Akash to separate from Payal & u know I can do this.

Pause Freeze Frame:

WELCOME BACK ASR .. another beauty ' in the past whenever Mr. ASR was rude to Khushi it was to WIDEN the distance between them .. LEST HE SUCCUMB TO his FEELINGS FOR HER .

Now cut to today .. yet again ASR is rude to her but this time it is to BRIDGE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM .. LEST HE LOOSE THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE '.. another declaration of love .. another interpretation of love 'TO HAVE AND TO HOLD ..

The emotions here were for all to see ASR is lying .. to keep her back .. in the only way a stubborn business man knows .. cut a deal .. hold to contract'

Through out this narrative from when he closes the door to the bedroom to the time he tells all .. listen to the no nonsense voice of boardroom ASR .. but of course the face is expressing his Angst .. Very well don't Barun ..

Now for the last segment guys I will not do a shot division .. but I will do my fav Points to Ponder '

1. Khushi tells him that you are a still the Devil incarnate

2. Khushi tells him everytime I want to forget you . you will do things to hurt me & remind me of you

3. Khushi tells him u just proved that ASR will never change

4. Khushi tells him you will hurt me & break my heart

Now dear reader I will leave you with some Ques ..

1. Do you think Khushi bought into the fact that ASR will separate Payash?

2. Do u think Khushi was crying that I am trying my best to walk away from you & you are holding me back?

3. Do you think Khushi was asking him is that the best you can do .. is holding me back with force .. instead of telling me the real reason for me to stay is the only way you know .. can you not change for me?

4. DO you think Khushi here was crying if I stay back .. will you promise not to break my heart & hurt me once again '

For me the Ques were the answers .. but for some who still want the answers guys I will urge you to go back watch the scene ' when he tells her .. the more you will want to go the more I will keep you with me ' there is a pause here & they look deeply into each others eyes '. Message Sent ' Message Received.

Khushi knows Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada loves him ' today she wants to return the love '

While for Khushi the meaning of love was SACRIFICE'. For ASR the meaning of LOVE was to STAY TOGETHER

Guys it has been an emotional roller coaster these last few days with IPK .. hence today I am only writing till this portion of the episode .. with tomorrows Maha Episode airing.. will try to give you a maha update ' ( if the panting subsides )

Okay Now THAT is stupendous script writing. I am new to IPK and forum. Was lucky to read the IP redux thread today and was astonished. My first reaction was WOW... did we watch the same episode. Went back and watched it again(something I never do) and the picture was so clear. I am in total awe of the the way you wrote, the emotions, music and pathos.. You certainly made me look at the episode with new respect.
