A slap on a husband from a brother, a degrading ouster of a son-in-law from a household as the wife helplessly looked on... the door firmly shut and she is left in the cocoon of her loving family. A family who have failed to realize the gravity of the blow... It was neither shock nor hurt or betrayal...It was the death of Anjali Shyam Manohar Jha.
She said to his portrait hum aap ke bina nahi reh sakte... only the girl Anjali in mourning remains... dressed like a widow devoid of the colour in her life... she remembers the happy memories and the precise moment when the death knell was sounded to her...The memories play in a nonstop loop in her mind- the slap by Arnav,Shyam being shown the door and the sweet moments of the relationship with her husband. She refuses to speak as she is caught up in the past... the present has no meaning... she is in such a trauma that her cherished baby that is getting nurtured in her womb is forgotten...
Her world is shattered...she does not want the brutal reality to show its face hence keeps flipping pages of the photo album...
In walks Kushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada with the bitter pill of truth... she speaks the hard hitting facts without pretense and bereft of a coating of sugar... A quick reminder of her unborn baby spurs the lady into action... she reaches the clinic of her gynecologist... as she waits her turn for the 1st time she has a remembrance of the reason her brother gave for his actions... Anjali remembers to well what absence of parents can do to a child... she and Arnav have gone through it... today her unborn baby is seeing the same fate before she even can see the world... The mother wants to save her child from the pain... and in her vulnerable state... abortion seems the logical way out... She makes a tremendous effort to put her maternal feelings at bay and go about it mechanically...
Her broken faith and trust need to be renewed and assured... that history will not repeat itself... her child will see the happiness it deserves... the maternal family will always love her and never abandon like the paternal relations did...
Arnav Singh Raizada is aware of the pain that his wife is undergoing...his family have not yet set her free of the blame of the events that happened and to top it she has been advised by the matriarch to stay away for Anjali like the guilty party... He tries to lighten up her sad mood ...teases her ,reassures like a husband to have faith in their relationship...His efforts bring a smile on Khushi's face and reduce his guilt burden by a minuscule...
When Khushi wants to go with Arnav to search for his sister.. Nani stops her... Arnav though does not believe in Nani's reasoning but respects her decision... now is the time to rally the family around and not question their decision...
The sauve businessman is handling the affairs tactfully...as is his wife...he knows her intentions and that she is smart though emotional... they will rebuild the familial ties together...he has a worthy life partner with him... letting go is no longer an option...
