Part 1:

Zee: I'm getting a lot of requests about your shows, especially IPKKND. What can people expect from the show?

Gul: IPKKND is really peaking because Shyam's truth is getting exposed in front of the family. Anjali's life is going to change, Anjali-Arnav and ArHi relationship is going to be affected. Shyam is not leaving the show. We'll give it a break for some time but he will come back. After all, he is Anjali's wife and she will not be able to live without him.

Zee: What convinced you that the chosen actors will be the best to play the characters.

Gul: First of all, none of the shows in indian television are hero centric. They all revolve around the female. In 4 lions, the hero's characters are very well etched out. It is inspired, of course from Mills and Boon. The male is brooding while the female is chirpy and eccentric and do not seem to be made for each other. It is absolute fantasy romance. One thing we do in our show is that all the male characters have a flaw which is corrected when the girl enters his life.

Zee: How is ArHi different from Maaneet?

Gul: They are meant to be similar because Geet was on Star one and the platform was not very huge. The channel itself had a low range. So the reason for Arhi on star plus is to get a higher trp range. (due to the channel)

Zee: do you think in real life someone like Khushi or geet can maintain a relationship with ASR or MSK?

Gul: Of course because they are very realistic characters. No one is perfect!

Zee: As a producer, what is one thing that an actor must have other than the ability to act?

Gul: Our couples have very sensational chemistry. They have to fit in a certain kind of mould. When we were thinking about Arnav, we were thinking about a guy who can speak a lot of english. (Hence the what the). In MSK, expressive eyes were important because he was not allowed to talk much. In girls, simplicity and dialogue delivery was very important. I think both the couples were pretty bang on!

Part 2:

Zee: In western shows, the acting schedule is very different from Indian television shows. Do you think this schedule can apply in Indian shows

Gul:It is sad that people only think about the actors. The whole crew is working if there is a show for 14 hours. One of the reasons for this is that Indian television shows give 5 episodes per week. it is hectic.

Zee: GHSP was also on saturdays at one time.

Gul: Yes, it was very hard. In western shows, max is 26 episodes in a year. We are churning out a lot more. So schedule also has to be different.

Zee: Shows also have an immense following on the internet. Is it pressurizing?

Gul: Yes it adds to pressure but it is also very nice. Shows that people all over the world watch our shows.

Zee: Name one quality of the following actors which sets them apart.

Gurmeet Chaudry

Gul: Eyes

Zee: Drashti

Gul: Smile

Zee: Sanaya Irani

Gul: Twinkle in her eye

Zee: Barun Sobti

Gul: It is difficult to answer about him. he is so opposite from ASR! He has a dudish attitude which makes him the perfect actor for ASR.

Zee: Abhaas

Gul: Very good actor.

Zee: IPKKND?

Gul: Arnav Khushi chemistry...They have wonderful chemistry. In fact before your phone call we were thinking about what to make the next romantic scene. We love the fact that we can control their love story.

Zee: The "judai" and "milan" also increase the intensity.

Gul: Yes. This is why we made the RV version also more intense.

zee asked about shyam..she said about current track..she said he ll b away for some time..but ll come back definetely..
she talked about chemistryof SaRun...
talked about barun..how he fits this character..
happy with the success of IPKKND on internet all over the world.
Rapid Fire..
quality of Barun...difficult to describe in rapid fire ..he is so laughing.playing cricket one moment and in next moment turn into ASR..cool personality..attitude..its Barun who is playing Arnav..
quality of sanaya...she has twinkle in eyes..she is so khushi in real..
Quality of abhas..he is like a kid.so sweet..he is doing so convincingly Shyam..
Quality of IPKKND...ARHI chemistry rocks..we all really enjoy the romance part of ArHi..all Rabba VEs..
its so fun..talked about Rain seq of ArHi..they share great chemistry..
talked about their theme.RABBA VE.

Gul said the current track has now taken a dramatic turn. From this point there will be a shift in story telling. After Shyam revelation, anjali life is going to change. Anjali-Arnav relationship will be effected and this in turn will effect Kushi-Arnav as well.

Shyam will be back after a break...coz he is anjali's husband and she cant survive without him ( 😔 )

Creative loves to sit and plan out on the next romantic scene. They love IPK and the chemistry between the excites them think of more intense love scenes. Gul and team were doing that before the interview.

Now later in the interview she gave a scene which I think is a upcoming romantic scene...I could be wrong guys but put this and what Akriti posted about the rain sequence we might be in for a treat. So heres what she said: They have a wonderful chemistry and purely exciting for us to conceive scenes like Arnav will leave Kushi in the rain and forgets about her...then when he remembers he rushes back to her. Rabba ve..:)

And there is more about Manmeet..so guys when you get a chance listen to the whole Interview. And dont forget to appreciate Zee for her hardwork. Thanks.
