There has been a lot of discussions on about Arnav's silence. I have a different take on this issue… As much as I would have wanted him to take the situation in his hands much earlier… I realised the in hind sight may be it was the right thing to do. Infact I see this as a good beginning. The heart of this story is how Arnav will handle the two most important relationships in his life… his sister and wife. He will be miserable if he has to choose on over the other… It is very important that he needs to strike a balance and he did that very well yday. And he did that loud and clear.
If you notice during the entire ordeal… Khushi never once turned to see if Arnav was with her or not… She knew he was with her… his silence was her go ahead to prove herself right. She had to fight her own battle and she the tigress she is she can handle without Arnav's help. More importantly his silence was his acknowledgement of her as his equal. He could have easily taken over in the begining... throwing Shyam out... shunned questions from his family like he always does... but no... the truth had to come out, it was important Khushi was heard... She deserved a proper closure to that episode in her life and he allowed her freedom. His silence also proved that he was done allowing his sister reside in the fools paradise and get her to see the truth and absorb it… and he will stand by her through it.
He spoke only when Khushi asked him to take over, he stepped in when his wife wanted him to and he did in Arnav Singh Raizada style… 2 minutes, 2 slaps, 2 sentences… sealed everything. And the way in which he did it… commendable. For the 1st time, to his family and may be to himself he put Khushi on the same pedestal as his sister. His wife being harassed was on the same footing as his sister being betrayed for years. Nothing else Shyam did mattered, Shyam's greed or his criminal tendency to kill Arnav…. What mattered was what that creep did to his sister and wife. He simply pronounced the verdict that this man is out of their lives… He gave no reason to his family of Shyam. Just by that he validated Khushi, Payal and NK's claim and the truth. The impatient snap at Akash to call the security when Akash tried to reason with him must have made his family realise that Arnav knew it all and he knew what he was doing. The man of the house had spoken… Somewhere down the line it warmed my heart that the moment Arnav slapped Shyam… Anjali resigned to the fact that her marriage was over, truly over… it wasn't even disbelief… no denial… just acceptance.
It still isn't all over. Shyam for now is thrown out of the house… he will be back. But Arnav's job is cut out… to make sure the two most important people in his life are safe and feel secure about their standing in his life. Khushi fought the demon and Arnav ousted the demon out. But to fight the inner demons Shyam has left in them, among their families members… they have to fight it out together. And I am sure Arnav will do what is right and Khushi will do her bit. The entire story is stil not revealed... he still has to tell his family why he married Khushi and reinstate Khushi's honour as a Woman, as his Wife and the eldest Bahu of the Raizada Clan. He will have to help his sister deal with this issue and come out stronger. I will cut Arnav some slack and allow him to settle his family down. He might not always be able to strike the balance… but as far as he knows and lets his family know that his wife and sister are both equally important to him, I am more than fine.
