Prologue

Scene 1

Arnav- "Khushi!!"

Khushi- "Arnav ji? Kya hua What happened ?" Khuhsi runs towards Arnav.

She enters to Arnav holding Anjali in his arms while Anjali is moaning in pain and repeatedly saying.

Anjali- " Hum keh rahe hai chotte, tumhe koi galat faimi hue hai, yeh aise hai hi nai."" Chotte, I am telling you that their has to be some sort of misunderstanding, he is not like that."

Arnav looks helplessly at khuhsi, she bends down and suddenly notices the wetness around Anjali. In a second she realized Anjali is loosing the baby.

Khushi- "Arnav ji khoon!" " Arnav ji, Blood"

Arnav looks shocked for a second then scoops Anjali in his arms while Khushi without telling leads the way to the hospital.

Scene 2

Akash- "Payal tumhe pata hote hue bhi tumne mujhse, mujhse yeh baat chupai?" " Payal you knew and yet you kept it from me?"

Payal- "Akash, hum batana chate the, humara yakeen karo. Bas ek ke baad ek aisi baatein hue ki hum kuch keh hi nai paaye." "Akash trust me, I wanted to! Circumstances just happened to be such that, I couldn't"

Payal had tears in her eyes, for she no longer could see the humility in akash's eyes, that she actually fell for.

Akash- "Payal, mujhe kuch der ke liye aakala chod do." "Payal, leave me alone for a while."

payal- "Suniye toh-" "listen-"

Akash- "payal just go!"

In the last month or so Akash had changed, payal could see it. She could feel it in her bones that he was no longer happy with his position.

Scene 3

Doctor- "Now she is out of danger, but Mr. Raizada her mental health is still at stake here, due to miscarrying the baby her hormones are all over the place. she need constant support and cosseting."

Arnav- "Doctor, can I see her now?"

Doctor- "Yes" Looking at Khuhsi "but, please only one of you and I would request she be kept calm."

A- "Khushi, you wait, main Di se mil ke aata hum, hmm." "Khushi, you wait, I'll go meet Di, hmm."

on seeing arnav so preoccupied and tensed,

K- "Arnav ji, aap chinta mat kijiye Di bilkul theek ho jayegi." " Arnav ji, please be clam, Di will be alright."

she draws his palm into hers as if transferring power to him.

A- "Khushi!"

Arnav immediately wraps his arms around her and shudders all his fears for Anjali in khushi's arms.

K- " Jaaiye, Di aapka intezar kar rai hongi."

Arnav sighs heavily, inhaling her smell, draws back and walks without a word, as if conserving all his strength for his Di.

Scene 4

Anjali- "Humne keh diya, toh keh diya." "I have said my piece and I won't listen."

A-" Di, aap ye keh rahe ho, but khushi-" " Di you are saying this, but khushi-"

Anjali (cutting him off in mid-sentence)- "Chotte, yeh hamara aakhri faisla hai, Payal ji aur Khushi, dono hi, balki aaj aur issi waqt Shantivan se chali jaaye toh hi aacha hai." " Listen to me Chotte, this is my final word, payal ji and khushi will leave Rm right this moment."

A- (crouching next to her, looking into her eyes) "Di, look at me Di,I understand, jo dard aap ko ho raha hai, wo aapke chotte ko bhi ho raha hai. Lekn Di khushi ne kuch galat nai kiya-" " Di, look at me Di, I understand, the pain you are going through, your little brother is also as shattered, but Di khushi has done nothing wrong-"

Anjali (looking furiously and a bit possessed)-" Chotte, ab ya toh Khushi iss ghar mein rehegi ya main, main Gupta pariwar ke kissi bhi sadasay ki shakal bhi nai dekh na chati hun, sunna tumne!"

A- "Di, calm down! aap meri baat to suno-" "Listen chotte, either khushi will stay here or me, as I will not tolerate any member of Gupta family here."

Anjali- (picks up a shard of glass from the broken photo frame on her nightstand) "Khushi, khushi, KHUSHI!!!"

see tries to stab herself but arnav stops her, just in time.

Prologue Continued:

Scene 5

Garima- "Jiji, hamare toh bhag hi phoote hain, dono behai-theyai betiyaan ghar behth gayi, jayan nani banne ka sukh nazzeb hone chala tha, wahan ee sab, ee sab ka ho gaya jiji." " Sister, look what out fate has come to, both married daughters are back home, where a good news of becoming a grandmother was to be welcomed, what has happened Jiji!" Garima continues crying, while Madhumati stews in anger.

Buaji- "Garima, ee sab uss shyam ka kiya dhara hai. Humari doono phool se baachiyon ke mujhe se muskurahat cheen li, nandkishore!" " Garima, this all is that shyam's fault. He has ruined both their lives, my darling daughters nandkishore."

Garima-" Jiji yeh mohalle wale kaisi kaisi baatein keh rahe hai, khushi betiyaan ne sun li toh-" "Jiji, the neighbourer's all talking all wild gossip, if khushi comes to know about it-"

Buaji-"Garima, hum bhi eh baat le kar hi chinta main doobe hue hain, humri sanka debi ne sun liya ki payaliya ke baare main kaisi kaisi baatein ho rai hai to bas, kood padi hai maidan maa; aapni jiji ke khatir, hai re nandkishore, ee ka kiya." "Garima, I have also been worried for the same cause, if our sanka devi (Debi) comes to hear what they are saying about payal(ia), she will jump in her siaters defense, hai re nandkishore, what has happened."

behind the curtain Khushi had come to a conclusion.

scene 6

K- "Di, bas yeh baat hamri sun li-" " Di, just this once listen to me-"

Anjali- "Hume Di mat kaho Khushi, hum bas yahan isliye aaye hain kyunki aapne kaha payal ji maa banne wali hain" "Don't you dare call me Di, I have come here just because you told me payal is to be a mother soon."

K- "D- Anjali ji, humari kismat ka grahan jiji ki zindagi per mat lagne dijiye. Hum toh hain bhi nai Gupta parivaar ke, we log bahut aache hain, humari wajah se aaj mohalle main wo log muh bhi nai dhikha sakte. Bas yeh ek winati maan lijiye, jiji ko Shantivan wapas aane dijiye, hum aapko vishwaas dilate hain ki hum Arnav ji ki zindagi se humesha huesha chale jayenge." "D- Anjali ji , please don't let the darkness of my fate shadow jiji's marriage, I am not even a true part of the Gupta family, please don't judge punish them for my fate. They are good people and today because of me they cannot even show their faces in society. please listen to my only request and accept payal jiji back to Shantivan, I promise you that I will for always leave Arnav ji's life and go away."

A light of understanding came into Anjali's eyes, she was hesitant to forge such a deal, but time, bitterness and misplaced love led her astray.

Scene 7

Khushi had been ignoring Arnav's phone for over a week, but now she had to get go through with her promise with Di, her heart ached just at the thought of leaving him, but must it was.

K-"Arnav ji, hum-" "Arnav ji, I-"

A- "Khushi! where the hell have you been, mera phone kyun nai utha rai thi why have you been ignoring my calls. Have you any Idea main kis haal main hun, dammit!"

K- "Arnav ji, bas woh ghar per halat hi kuch-" "Arnav ji, the circumstances at home were such that-"

A- "Khushi, kaisi ho tum?" "Khushi, how are you?" The wealth of emotion in his voice moved her, almost, almost broke her resolution, Payal walked past the door of the room and Khushi with held all pain and said:

K- "Arnav ji, aap mil sakte hai, aaj..." "Arnav ji, can you meet me today..."

A- "Haan, khushi. Per hua kya hai? tum theek ho na? say something, Dammit!" " yes, Khushi, but what happened? are you alright? say something, dammit!"

Scene 8

A-" What do you mean, tum wapas nai aana chati? you don't want to come back ? are you...are out of your MIND!!"

K- "Arnav ji-"

A- "Don't you dare Arnav ji me!, What the hell is going Khushi?"

K- (with a little more strength) Yeh shaadi, shaadi thodi na thi, bas 6 mahine ka samjhota tha, kabhi na kabhi to yeh din aana hi tha." " This marriage was never a real, it was a compromise for six months, this day had to eventually come."

Looking at a speechless Arnav, she forced a little more conviction to her voice and continued.

K- "Dekhiye Arnav ji, iss waqt aapka Di ke paas ho bahut jaroori hai, aap kahenge toh hum talaq ke papers 6 mahine tak nai bhejege, per ab Shantivan main humara rehna na-mumkin hai." "Listen Arnav ji, at this point in time You have to take care of Di, its of prime importance, if you say, I'll with-hold the Divorce papers till the six month deadline, but now I cannot live in Shantivan."

Arnav clutched her tightly on her upper-arms, she winced but silently reveled in his FINAL touch.

He without saying anything pushed her back and strode out.

Scene 9

Arnav walked into RM and into chaos, where all family members were pleading with Anjali to reconsider Khushi as she did with payal.

Nani- "Betiya khuhsi betiya bhi toh iss khandan ki hi bahu hai, agar tum payal betiya ko apna sakti ho toh khushi-" "Anjali darling, Khushi also is a daughter-in-law of the family, if you can accept Payal why not Khushi-"

Anjali- "Nani ji, humme majboor na karein hum-" "Nani ji, please don't force me to-"

A- "Di, aapko koi majboor nai karega, nani Khushi iss ghar main nai aayegi, aur jisko iss baat se taklif hai, woh Shanivan se jaa sakta hai." "Di, no one is going to force you, nani khushi will not return to this house and who-so-ever has a problem with this can leave shantivan."

Anjali-" Chotte, yeh kya-" "Chotte, what are you-"

A-" Bas Di, maine decide kar liya hai, iss ghar main na koi Khushi ki baat karega, na hi Gupta parivaar ki." "Thats it Di, I have decided that in this house neither will khushi be mentioned nor the Gupta family."

Akash- "Bhai, bas! aap har baat ka decision lene waale kaun hote hai, Payal meri wife hai! Main smajh sakta hun DI kis dhor se guzar rai hai, but issme Payal ka koi kasur nai." "Thats it bhai, who are you to take decisions for everything, Payal is my wife! I can understand the pain Di is going through, but payal is innocent in all this."

A- (scoffs) "Aaj wo agar tumhari patni hai toh meri wajh se, agar maine Khushi se contract marriage na ki hoti, toh-" "If today she is your wife, its because of me, if I had not married her on that contarct-"

As soon as the words were out of his mouth he realized what a blunder he had done, but a scorned lover has no sense left!

A- "You want to live with your wife, go live in your own house, but in my house, NEVER!"

Mami- "Bas Arnav bitwa, bahut hua, itne hi khatak rahe hai tumko toh chale jaaynge hum." "Enough Arnav, it is more than enough, if we are pricking like thorns to your eyes then we'll leave" she started crying midway.

Scene 10

Akash- "Bhai, aaj mujhe yeh aisaas hua ki aapne mera andh vishwaas kitna faida uthaya." "Bhai, today I have realised how you have misused my complete faith in you."

A- "Akash, leave me alone!"

From his room he saw His family leave, he was hurting but all he could think was, she didn't want to come back to ME!

Chapter 1. (A new Day)

P.S. ( Dear readers, please bear with me for this chapter and its monotonous tone, but to begin with the real TRACK I needed time and to set a proper background in your minds. And the fun will start eventually.😃)

Scene 1

Akash- "Payal, tumhe aisi halat main itna stress nai lena chahiye, khushi ji ne kaha na ki woh theek hain, relax hmm." "Payal, you shouldn't stress yourself like this, especially in your condition. Khushi told you herself that she is fine, now relax hmm."

Payal- " Akash, kya aap Di aur Arnav ji ke baare main chinta karna chood sakte hain? Toh hum apni behen ki fikar kaise na karen, bataiye?" "Akash can you truly forget about the problems with Di and Arnav ji? So how can you tell me to stop worrying about my baby sister?"

Pregnancy had made payal a bit edgy, but this new spark to Akash and Payal's relationship was actually due to the sure knowledge of love for each other. If it were not for the ruined lives of Anjali, Arnav and khushi; Payal could have named this past month the best in her life.

Where in the past month Dadi, Ma ,Papa and Akash had moved out of RM, they had not severed ties with Arnav ji and Anjali Di. Di and Arnav ji had tried to get the family to move back in RM after a while, but Akash with a heavy heart had denied; just for her. It was not that she wanted to punish the Raizada's for Khushi's fate, she just could not live in a house, which had treated her baby sister so cruelly. She did not have to tell Akash that, he understood with her even uttering the words. It was that day she realized how utterly blessed she was to have a life partner like him.

Akash had urged his parents and Dadi to move back in RM for Di's sake and after much drama they had agreed. Akash still worked for AR industries, they went to RM pretty frequently, but something had changed their. Not only the people in RM, but the air itself seemed t lack happiness; KHUSHI.

With time things would get better, she knew it. But now, it was a strained time, where Khushi had moved back to Lucknow and refused to take her parents along. Her baby sister truly was amazing, she never knew how she had done it, but she could bet- if she were a betting woman- that Di's silent acceptance on her and Gupta family had to do something with Khuhsi moving away. Khushi had taken a promise from her and her family, never to let anyone know where she went, she had politely let Akash know that she was planning to keep that promise at any cost; and all she saw in his eyes was acceptance and understanding.

Akash- "Toh mil gaya Khushi ji ko kaam?" "So, did Khushi ji get a job yet?"

Payal- (Suddenly cheering up) "Haan, aaj toh bahut khush bhi thi, pata hai, ek baade se hotel mein mithaiyan suppy karegi humari Khushi" "Yup, today she was cheerful to, you know our Khushi will be supplying sweets to a big hotel."

Akash- "Arey wah! yeh toh bahut aachi khabar hai, chalo issi baat per mera bhi mooh meetha karao." " Wonderful!, Now that's some news and on this news why don't I sweeten my flavour too." the light in his eyes changed with every word, leaving the persona of a concerned husband he jumped into being a predator.

This man, had changed her life. While at one point in time insecurities had plagued her, today she was comfortable in the knowledge of his love.

Scene 2

(Lucknow)

P.S. I have added new characters and a few old ones have been re-introduced.

Lazzej Singh (They guy who playes Aadi in Geet and also featured in the first episode of IPKKND)

K- " Lazzej ji, ek baat humhe samj nai aayi, humse toh kaha gaya tha ki bas mithi hi supply karni hogi, ab yahan Sheesh Mahal me aa kar mithi banae wali baat-" " Lazzej ji, I have failed to understand a thing, while initially I was only told to supply sweets here, now you want me to come and prepare the sweets at Sheesh Mahal-"

Lazzej- "Devi ji, devi ji, humara samay na barbad karke aapne kaam mein dhyan dijiye. Yeh arder (order) uper se aaya hai, hume na iski wajah pata hai, na hum puchenge. (aside-to himself) humari kya shyamat aayi hai jo puchenge." "Madam, Madam, don't waste my time and get back to work. I have received this order from my seniors, I have no clue about its reasons and neither am I going to ask. (Aside-to himself) And I am not foolish enough to ask as well."

A lot of unexpected things had been happening for the past two days, her land lady had evicted her without notice and almost immediately she had gotten a call from Sheesh Mahal about the confirmation of the job. While now she had a job, she no longer had a place to live. It seemed Devi Maiya was with her, thats why she had been offered a place to live in the supervisor's apartments at Sheesh Mahal along with a full time job.

While the place brought back a horde of memories, she could never hate the place, for it was here she met Arnav ji. In what ever circumstances, they had met and fallen in love. She was just grateful to Devi maiya, that she had enough strength to leave him and also to be spared from the humiliation of confessing her love to someone she ditched so badly.

Today was exactly 1 month to the day she had boarded a train to Lucknow, she missed her Arnav ji with an ache that could never be assuaged and the emptiness of her life had often moved her to tears. Not once could she close her eyes and not see him, every memory of him was imprinted in her brain. Every touch, his breath, his smell, the safety only he could present. There were times that she could almost re-live those moments.
