let me tell u the rudiments of the script writing from whatever i learnt at the university..see a script should start from the low reach a peak that is the twist..in between leaving loops open for the next plot and then from the high go to low again..before developing the loop that has opened up in between the previous track..this is called the cooling off period which is used to show nice things on screen..like marriage etc
so coming to IPK..the kidnapping track is at an end with the high being the milan and the shyam revelation..in between the payal,anjali has started in relation to the main love track..so when a high is reached ..the basics say that u have to have a cooling period..so the sadness of this track has to give way to some happiness before the open loops are developed..otherwise the audiences interest will not be maintained..see the audience will hate another separation now..so they will cool off before another separation because of different reasons set in..hope i am clear
