Welcome to the weekend special of the WIL review. This is in continuation of an old series - Reflections from the Past.
In today's menu, we have:

- Arnav's trust for Khushi
Khushi: Mission Suicide
Khushi had just enjoyed a few moments of togetherness with Arnav. It seemed finally Arnav was coming around to the GH way of life. He'd fixed the gen-set, and then for Khushi, he'd fixed many appliances of the GH locality. He'd rescued her from a ladder, they both fell down, but Arnav had been far from angry. They'd shared a smile after a long time. He'd slipped into a cake of cow-dung, and Khushi had given him a shower with a water hose in everyone's presence. Arnav pretended irritation, but loved it.
Arnav had discovered that he was tricked by Khushi, who'd manipulated the communication between Arnav and Bua Ji to have the wedding in GH. Though Bua Ji unknowingly let him into Khushi's mischief, Arnav joined the dots and instantly forgave her. He spent the remaining da just playing along with her, getting into a bet with her, nearly flirting with her - in fact, he spent the day following her around instead of being locked in his room on the pretext of working. It seemed that past was past, and he wanted to be with Khushi now.
Then, Arnav came into change his clothes and found a wrapping paper stashed away in Khushi's drawer, with a card attached to it ' naming Shyam as the giver of the gift. All the moments of the day that he spent happy with Khushi were overrun by the one memory name and the memory associated with it.
When Khushi saw him next, Arnav had changed - not just his clothes, but also his demeanor. She saw the change very well but could not understand why the change came all of a sudden when just a while back he was being just as nice to her as could be. He did not tell her that he saw yet another 'proof' of her mess up with Shyam, apparently stored in her own drawer.
Arnav was still in torture when (while attempting to help Bua Ji) he overheard Khushi talking to her friends. When asked to tell about her wedding night, she depended on her dreams. Arnav heart nearly broke by the pain of her broken dreams. His attitude did not change immediately. Next, he overheard her talking to her mother and praising him as a husband. Arnav found himself in two minds. He decided to let go of the past and be with Khushi.
When Khushi got up in the morning, she mistook Arnav's support to her for his need to keep her with him. She looked for clues about his changed behavior; what she found, she misconstrued and concluded that Arnav wanted her dead. She spent the day attempting to save herself from supposed murder attempts.
Arnav could not understand fully the change in Khushi's behavior. She was usually eccentric, but now she was literally running from him. She'd simply see him and flee. By night, Khushi had started to refuse food, something she hasn't been very good even in times of extreme trouble. Khushi usually found it hard to resist food. However, she was so scared of being murdered that she trusted nothing - not even a caring glass of milk that Arnav brought her.
By morning, Khushi had decided that she could not live in fear of death. If she could not live, she could die. If her life was no longer in her hands, her death was. Khushi decided to say goodbye to everyone who was a part of her life and left something for everyone - especially for Arnav, to whom she gave her dreams, her support, and her comfort. Then, she left without telling anyone anything.
By the time, Arnav found her note to him, Khushi had been gone for some time. He realized what she was up to, and left everything and ran to save her. He couldn't understand why she would attempt something like suicide. She told him it was for he wanted her dead, because he loved another one. Arnav clarified that he never loved Lavanya. What he meant to say was that he'd never loved anyone, and she'd been the only one ever that he'd loved.
The truth of Arnav's love and of his hatred came out that day.
*~*~*~*
If we just go through that series we see some of that has come to pass now. Currently, Khushi and Arnav are in a mode where their love and concern for one another has pushed them to disclose how they really feel about each other. If left to themselves, both Arnav and Khushi would trust each other blindly.
Though they are apart, they are experiencing a time of oneness that is hard to achieve. It seems that past is forgotten and Arnav is convinced that Khushi is all his. Khushi too put the past behind her and is committed to find Arnav and bring him back.
However, there are proof being accumulated against Khushi. These proofs speak of Khushi's alliance with Arnav's enemy - Shyam, and are undeniable. A Will signed using trickery, signed property papers, money taken from Anjali on the pretext of charity, the DM pendant given to Shyam, and there may be more till Arnav finally comes back (this list is sufficient - hope it is not added to!)
The proofs may force Arnav to put his mind above his heart once more - or at least be wary. Arnav is prone to closing his mind shut when he angry. Also, he does not realize how nasty he's been when angry, though he does realize later on and attempts to fix it.
Khushi is more or less on a suicide mission. She has given it her all, gone beyond her limits, and put her life and honor in danger for Arnav. If Arnav doubts her integrity and loyalty to him again, Khushi may attempt to prove herself. She may attempt to save her life and live. However, lack of open support might push her into loneliness. She may become resigned to herself.
Arnav might feel her loneliness, but if she does not show it, Khushi may have to bear it alone, just as Arnav may be left to his pain alone.
If during this time, Shyam is revealed to Anjali - then balance might tip away from Khushi. Arnav may have to be with his sister on a priority.
Arnav has always had his say and Khushi has always been denied her right to defend herself. Arnav always got to say what he wanted to, and anything he did not say - was by his own choice. Khushi always wanted to tell Arnav the truth, but she has been limited by either Arnav himself, who would not hear her out, or by the circumstances.
There would be a day when Arnav would find out - just as Khushi did - that for Khushi there was never any other. She never had place for any other man in her life except Arnav.
Last time when this truth came out for Arnav, it was when Khushi was giving up her life for him.
Now when would it be, remains to be seen!
Arnav's Trust for Khushi
Khushi has always had proofs and witnesses to prove her innocence, integrity, loyalty, and pure intentions. However, none of these have ever been put to use for Khushi. Each of them has a reason to keep quiet and not speak in favor of Khushi.
How would it benefit the Arnav-Khushi equation if Arnav trusted Khushi only in the presence of proofs that validate her?
In the past WILs, I've mentioned that the relationship would gain power and strength when Arnav learns to trust Khushi in the absence of proofs or witnesses - from just knowing her, rather than proofs.
Something of this sort is happening now. However, a trust test is coming for Arnav again. Because he keeps failing his trust tests off and on, the intensity of his tests is increases with each new round.
Rangoli hop:
We saw in the Rangoli Hop how Arnav followed the directions given by Khushi to a T and got across the Rangoli.
The Rangoli Hop was an excellent picture of what is going on right now in the show.

"Somehow it feels pointless that Arnav would trust Khushi only after seeing a proof or hearing it from another person. It would kill the whole point about Arnav listening to his heart. Sure he would learn the lesson, but the point of the lesson would be missed, and till he gets the point, the trust test cycle will have to be run again (which also means that it will be harder on him next time, because each time he goes through this test and fails, the next test becomes harder for him)."
When Arnav learns of proofs against Khushi, it would be an interesting watch. Arnav might play it safe. He does not trust Shyam. He has just begun trusting Khushi.
It would be clear that Shyam did orchestrate the kidnapping. It would be clear that Khushi seems involved - and according to Shyam, rather actively, for revenge.
However, I don't think (and seriously hope) that if Arnav does not trust Khushi in the matter, he would give Shyam any satisfaction of knowing it. I hope he keeps his doubts between himself and Khushi. That would keep Shyam (and Fandom) on tenterhooks.
I hope this especially, because Arnav must learn from his lesson: Shyam can convince him that Khushi was working with him because he gave Shyam the satisfaction of knowing that he married Khushi by force (even if not in clear terms, this was sufficiently implied). Shyam was able to work his way as he did because he knew all wasn't well between Arnav and Khushi.
Danger Sign
The parallel to Arnav trusting Khushi because he trusts his heart (on currently) is Khushi hardening to the core.
The loneliness of Arnav and Khushi is not going away post-kidnapping. It seems it would stay and increase - till the lesson learnt now is matured in ' That Arnav would trust his heart against the issues, unless the loneliness and silence becomes unbearable that it absolutely must break ' will it eventually break.
