Before you launch into your tirades, oh lovers of the illogical and impossible packaged as passionate romance: I loved the content of the conversation. I did.
Honestly, they referenced the conversation they had about their parents and stars- my all time favourite IPKKND scene.
They referenced the promo. OMG I LOVE META REFERENCES (to those of you to whom this means something, it's why I loved The Greatest Love... there was so much meta all over the place).
They referenced the Holi confession and finally acknowledged that they both remember it- the whole thing with the heartbeats.
But WHY did they do it telepathically? I just... I don't understand. It not only ruined this conversation but I wanted to slap them for ruining some of my all time favourite Iss Pyaar scenes simply by association.
If I watched the whole thing with my eyes closed, I would've absolutely loved it. But, like a horrific car crash- I just couldn't look away.
I just told an English friend of mine who doesn't watch the show but who I keep updated on the show about this and she just laughed on Skype to me for 2 minutes and 38 seconds non-stop. She'd pause for breath and then continue laughing.
Partly because I'm just that funny. But I wouldn't be funny if the material wasn't so unbelievably ridiculous.
This was a conversation to be having face to face. I know with the knowledge most of us have that Khushi will be shot, we KNOW they can't have this conversation face-to-face after Khushi saves him, but to the average viewer... Their only response can and will be WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!
This is what they should've been talking about in that damn barn instead of suddenly becoming fashion designers and twisting dupattas into blouses and/or trying to have hay-sex (I would imagine this is somewhat akin to sand-sex which I have on good authority... isn't all that great. Especially not considering it'd be Khushi's first time. I'm not so sure on Arnav, all I know is that his stay at the Gupta house sleeping next to Khushi proved his "chotte" either has a will of steel or he's a eunuch).
No offence to those of you who think the telepathy thing is a testament to the strength of their love, but come on. I actually had to stop and check whether I was watching the right show- what was that? What, are they suddenly Quileute (no I do not like Twilight- do not ask me if I do- but I read the books in order to form an informed opinion as opposed to disliking it for no reason)? The way the show is going, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if they added an element of Werewolves into it. We've already got a Snake and Vampish women. Why not go the whole hog and add Werewolves in as well?
