"Khushi, do you know what day it is tomorrow?" Arnav asked
"Well let's see, yesterday was friday, so today is saturday, that means tomorrow is sunday!" Khushi smiled triumphantly.
Arnav smiled. His wife had forgotten her own birthday. Only Khushi could manage to do that and still look cute while forgetting it.
"why?" khushi asked.
"No reason!" Arnav lied. He started to think what he could do for his wife's special day.
Khushi shrugged and went back to sorting out her wardrobe. Arnav started to walk out of his room. He was just about to step out and khushi called him.
"suniye!" Arnav froze. "where are you going?"
Crap. He wasnt expecting that. Luckily, Aakaash came into the room.
"Bhai i need to talk to you about the meeting tomorrow"
"perfect!" thought Arnav. "Now to get khushi out of the room... well that's quite easy i suppose.."
"Khushi Could you get me some tea please?" Arnav asked.
"Yeah, okay one second." Khushi dumped some clothes on the bed and closed the cupboard door and goes out of the room. Arnav waited for a couple of seconds got up and locked the door
"Bhai! What happened?" Aakash asked, confused.
"Aakash, we dont have time! It's Khushi's birthday tomorrow and i need you to arrange for some things while i keep her distracted!"
"Sure bhai, but what do you need me to do"
"Okay this is what i am planning to do..."
Ten minutes later, the two brothers have finished planning and Arnav unlocked the door and opened it, just in time to see khushi with a cup of tea coming round the corner.
"She's coming!! Hide everything and Act natural!!" Arnav whispered .
They both scrambled for the various bits of paper and tried to hide everything from sight.
Khushi walked into the room carrying the tea. She handed it to arnav, picked up the clothes and went back to sorting her cupboard out.
"Wow... Either i am really good at this or she is daydreaming." Arnav thought to himself.
"Well thanks for you help bhai. I'll see you later then" Aakash stood up "Bye khushiji"
There was no answer.
"Damnit... She's daydreaming" Arnav said to himself.
Aakash and Arnav exchanged looks. Arnav shrugged apologetically, and Aakash walked out of the room.
"Khushi. Whats wrong??" Arnav asked. No answer. "Khushi? Is everything okay?"
"No!" Khusi replied. She continued to move things around in the cupboard
"What happened? Is it something I did??"
"Yes!"
"Khushi stop." Arnav took her hands and gently turned her around to face him. "Look at me." He lifted her face up to light. Khushi looked at him."Okay. what did I do?"
"You haven't spent any time with me today. Someone's either calling you on that silly bluetooth or jiju asks you to help with something and you didn't even say thank you for the tea i made you!"
"Ooops! Sorry!" Arnav held his ears "Forgive me!"
Khushi thought for a second "hmmm..."
Arnav took his chance the second she was distracted by this. He swept off her feet and carried her onto the bed and gently put her down. Khushi giggled.
"So am i forgiven??" Arnav asked.
"Nope... i'm not giving in that easily"
Arnav kissed her on the hand
"how about now?" He asked again
Khushi giggled and shook her head
Arnav kissed her on her lips.
"How about now?"
"Maybe..."
"this isn't working... time to go to plan B"
Khushie saw the glint in his eye.
"NOOO!" She almost shouted "Don't do it!"
