Hello guys. I wrote another OS. This ones dedicated to the awesome bond of friendship NK and Khushi share. I love their friendship, the way NK believes her, wants to help her, knows what she'l like as a gift, makes her laugh intentionally and unintentionally. He's helping Khushi alot these days and i wish to see him help her even more . 😃 Anyways, i wrote this OS on their friendship. Not a very good one but i just wanted to write something on them. Please give it a read and leave your feedbacks through likes and comments. Will be HIGHLY appreciated. 😃 Hope you guys like it.
It was past midnight when NK felt his stomach rumble. He kept a hand on his stomach and realised he hadn't eaten anything since the morning. He got off the bed and made his way downstairs, towards the kitchen. He opened up the fridge and grabbed the milk bottle knowing he'd had to live on a milk bottle tonight
as waking any of the Parkash brothers at this time of the night to make him something to eat would be unfair. He sat on the kitchen counter, his legs swaying to and fro and started gulping down the milk. He had just taken a few sips when he heard a sniffing sound from nearby. He looked around but could not find the source of the noise. 'Maybe the wind coming in from somewhere', he thought and started enjoying his milk again when he heard it once more. This time he could clearly tell it was someone crying. He jumped off the counter and kept the milk bottle aside and started making his way out of the kitchen to search for the source of the sound when he was stopped mid way by a sweet voice calling him.'Nanheji, here'. NK turned around and his face fell the very instant he saw Khushi on the floor, leaning against a wall, her knees pulled up and her arms clutching onto them as if life depended on it. He didn't take a second and he leapt forwards towards Khushi and knelt down besides her and kept a hand on her shoulder, his face showing worry lines and deep concern. 'Khushiji, what are you doing here? And, and aap- why are you crying, Khushiji?', he asked.
Khushi looked up with her tear strained face and was in awe to see his best friend, infact his only friend worrying for her so much. 'Nanheji, I just feel really down', she said between her sobs. NK quickly grabbed her shoulders and pulled her up so that she was standing. He escorted her towards the living area and made her sit on the couch, seating himself next to her, 'what happened? It's really late. What happened Khushiji tell me?', he inquired. Khushi wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and turned to face NK.
'I can't take it anymore, Nanheji. The walls of my room suffocate me. Everytime I go in there it's like they're closing on me. I feel so lost without him Nanheji, I feel so lost', and with that she broke down into fits of sobs once again and covered her face with her palms. However NK had completely understood what she had meant. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and said, 'Don't worry Khushiji, we'l bring Nannav back. I promise'. Khushi looked up at his sincere face and smiled. She placed her hand on her locket and opened it. Arnav's face looked back at her. She smiled. NK who was looking at Khushi smiling at at the same locket he had given her a few days back with a picture of Nannav and Khushi side by side, felt really good knowing he had given her the perfect gift.
'You know Khushiji, the last time I came here, I observe you both very closely. I always knew there was something between you both. Nannav is not a person who'd secretly look at girls but he used to steal glances at you very often', he said. As soon Khushi heard this, her face lightened up and a small smile played across her face. 'Although i kept pushing my thoughts far away, I just had to admit you both were meant for each other, Khushiji. The night i dropped you off home and came back, Nannav was so mad at me that he scolded me like a school principal', he chuckled at the memory before continuing. 'It was jealousy Khushiji. Then that day when you and me were practicing for Akash bhai's sangeet ? And you crashed into Nannav? The way you both looked at each other, one could easily tell you both were meant to be there. In each others arms'.
Khushi felt hot tears rolling down her cheeks again, but this time she surprisingly felt much better. She smiled to herself at that memory. 'Nanheji, I don't know whether what you're saying is true, but I want him back Nanheji. I can't live without him'. The pleading look in her eyes, the collected tears in her eyes made NK want to bring Arnav back this instant, but he too knew it wasn't that easy. He took her hand in his and said, 'He'l come back to you. Apko apne dost par jharosa hai na?'
Khushi looked at him in confusion and then suddenly started laughing out aloud. 'Nanheji, jharosa nahi, bharosa', she said still giggling. 'Jee Nanheji, I have full jharosa on you'. NK felt relieved looking at his best indian friend laughing and felt good for deliberately saying the word wrong, knowing it would make her smile.
Khushi got up from the couch and said, 'Dhanevad Nanheji, I feel much better. Much stronger. And that is what I need to bring my Arnavji back to me', she said. Her voice no longer shaky but full of determination. 'But as of now, come to the kitchen. Let me make you something to eat, your tummy is making too many noises', she said heading towards the kitchen, winking at him playfully. NK went red due to the embarrassment but he knew it was all cool. Afterall, she was his bet friend. And he was going to be hers forever too. And with that, he followed Khushi into the kitchen to treat his empty, noisy stomach.
So, how was it guys? Good? Bad? Very bad? 😛 Please leave your awesome comments.
