I haven't had a chance to comment on your analysis last week (had family over coming on IF was hit and miss and on the run) but made sure by hook or crook read your analysis. I just have to say Brilliant Doods, each one somehow surpasses the last one. Absolutely love reading your analysis and its great to be able to read them again.

I haven't commented on the saga of DB leaving however I agree with your rant against Gul. I don't watch many Indian serial the first one was 4 lions previous endeavour so I didn't realise being pregnant was such a big issue in Indian serials. I watch American serials where it doesn't seem to be such an issue. When I initially heard she was wanting to quit the first thought that came to my mind was because she does not want to wear a baby bump. I don't know how much of that is true and what else is going on behind the scenes but that is what I thought, the fact that the role was not meaty enough I thought was incidental, I agree that while everything revolves around her she hasn't had much time on screen recently so had the statement been uttered a few months ago ok fine, but at this juncture in the story where everything is gearing up for her role to increase it and get interesting it was .

Honestly speaking while I like the thought of the original cast staying the cast going forward as they are used to each other and their comfort levels with each other and taking into account some of the beautiful scenes we have already had, however in this case I would want the story to stay as they have indicated and you have decoded. They have already compromised with the story on few occasions and I don't want them to do it again. I know I may get some tomatoes thrown at me but I would prefer they let her go if she does not want to wear a baby bump instead of comprising with the story and showing a miscarriage. They can then hire an actress who would wear one and if the auditions were to take place then that would be a criteria for being selected, yes it make take some episodes for us to get used to the new addition but this may be the best time before any heavy emotional scenes are shown for this track. I know it has been said that her quitting was putting a feeler to see how and what the reaction would be however I think it has been relatively calm and mild with a number of discussions about who would be best to replace her, probably not quite the reaction that was expected. There was more furore when it initially speculated about in May, that I think was timing of the issue what with BS film shooting started and being a while before he would be back and with rumors that SI had been approached for JD.
