I usually silently lurk on the forums but this thread reminded me of this incident a few years ago that I'd totally forgotten about. I can't believe I could ever forget such a solid RV moment!
One day I was rushing to my residence on campus because I had a deadline to meet for a report. I was in a particularly bad state that day having pulled an all nighter the night before. I was running down some steps outside a building when I suddenly missed one and came tumbling down. Next thing I know I'm sitting at the bottom of the stairs and I'm hearing a voice yelling "Are you okay?!!"
I hadn't paid attention to who was talking because I was still in shock I guess and my ankle was throbbing with unbelievable pain. It must have showed on my face because the next thing I know, a hand had grabbed my foot and taken off my sneaker and the most embarrassing sock EVER and started examining my ankle. Unfortunately twisted ankles don't magically heal when you twist them the other way unless you're in IPKKND lol.
At this point I quickly looked up to see who was manhandling my foot and I see a boy kneeling in front of me peering at me with genuine concern and still asking me if I'm okay. The pain had worn off a bit so I start brushing him off and telling him that I'm fine and that I need to go to my room to finish an assignment. He says 'No! Forget your assignment, you need to see a doctor!'. I kept insisting that I'll be okay, it's just a sprained ankle and tried standing up except my foot couldn't handle the pressure and I just crumbled against him. Sounds like a certain favourite episode of ours doesn't it?
He wasn't having any of it at this point. He just grabbed my right arm and put it around his neck. He grabbed me around the waist with his left hand and literally just picked me up and started walking nonchalantly towards the campus clinic. I couldn't even resist coz he was so tall and my feet were just completely off the ground. I gave up trying to convince him and just started blushing instead when I realized that a guy was carrying me through campus and I didn't even know him! I just hoped no one I knew would see me coz I'd never hear the end of it! Anyways he dropped me off at the clinic and that's all I ever saw of him. When I thought about this incident, all I thought was I can't believe such gentlemen still exist in real life. It still makes me smile 😊
