I'm glad most, if not all, are excited about NKs return - the guy is hilarious beyond measure!! The thing I'm most looking forward to is his: "Hey..Nanav!" dialogue 😆

Now that his return is confirmed, does that mean the end for Masala Mama!? God, I hope so! His character failed to bring even an ounce of humour to the show, and I can't fathom what other purpose he might have served!

I loved all your points about select dialogues. As soon as I heard the reference made to water, I knew you or Doods would most definitely throw some light on it! Superb analysis!

And I absolutely HEART your take on Arnav being an invisible factor which binds the two women he values most, together!

And finally, your thoughts on the star of the show - Mami ji!! Couldn't agree with you more! 'Hello, hi, bye, bye' rocked it for me this episode!! As you rightly mentioned, it's her practical nature which sets her apart from all others, therefore making her a much more suitable candidate in coming to Khushi's aid. The fact that she doesn't let her emotions get in the way of what needs to be done in the most serious of circumstances shows that she's a lot more level headed, and in this respect, is a lot more closely aligned to Arnav's character. Now I know how Arnav was able to relate to her way of thinking when she was dead set on leaving the RM in protest against Payash's relationship.

"Maamiji has comes across as manipulative, gold-lover, materialistic woman - words that carry a pejorative feel. However, the recent episodes show that there is much more to this woman."

Love what you pointed out above - The CVs are really doing justice to her character. The qualities she holds have been well maintained throughout the course of the show, and more importantly, has been consistent. Even though her character has steadily become more sympathetic towards Khushi, I like how they've kept her core characteristics intact. She can't deal with emotional baggage, nor is she very good at consoling; she's grown used to maintaining that cold-hearted veneer of hers behind which her warmth is hidden. Like Arnav, she can't see tears, and nor can she see people in grief - her usual light hearted treatment of circumstances today grew into solid determination, providing Khushi with that much needed strength. The fact that she's willing to become Khushi's pillar of support was really over-whelming to see, especially from a character development perspective. Despite her nautunki, it is her no nonsense attitude that will guide Khushi through these troubled times, and will hopefully also help move the story forward! After all, she did say to get rid of the kidnappers once and for all! 😆

And I must say, hats off to Abhaas's character as well this episode! His portrayal of subtle emotions was superb! Snakewa's time on screen may have been very short, but it was full of impact! He made every damn second count - Truly deserving of the best villain award! - Redwine reviewed his acting in greater detail (on pg. 2) - make sure to give it a read, her take on the episode was fab!

Overall, the episode was a lot calmer than yesterday's, but twice as much more meaningful! Like Mami ji's no nonsense persona, this episode also held that same direction. The aesthetic design of the episode can sometimes be in its simplicity. And that's what this episode served to be today. Simple, but bang on impact.
