If they couldn't lean against Black..."~Mary O'Neill'The Tale of Aurora Borealis ('Northern Lights')'Priya, I have loved your Evening Fireflies verses from that very first read in Crooner 55! Indeed, we finally saw them come to life...Kudos, my friend!!👏👏😊 I am thrilled you are touching upon the timeline that has been establised for this track starting with AR 36 K and Khushi's dream...Can't wait to read the rest of the Crooner!😃 Those very fireflies set the tone for today...they represent light, warmth, happiness, smiles...But these very creatures sometimes are an illusion; in your very words, a "Mirage"...That chasm between their "sapno ki duniya" and a bittersweet reality...Today, Arnav and Khushi finally stepped into their own oasis, if only for a few moments...The crossing over from darkness into light...and back into darkness...But, we can rest assured knowing that the memory of those fireflies will show him the way home, and will bring her to him. With a significant movement in the script, a beautiful continuation from last Friday's epic capture, and riveting in its own right, today's episode worked for me!"Kabhi Kabhi Humein Lagta Hai Hum Chand Taare Bhi Maang Le, Woh Bhi De Denge..."A search for light brings one of nature's most ethereal creations into their fold...A gift of love; his first gift to her after their wedding...his hand reaches for her palm...he places the pot, his eyes tell her to open it...and then they do not leave her face...he takes in the glow, the warmth, the pure look of jubilation on her face. Flying Stars...just for her! "Phir humare chere pe muskurahaat laane ki ji todh koshish kartein hain..." Her very words to her Amma today come full circle! The stars he threw on the ground a few days ago, now handed back to her...She, and all that is important to her, are now his own...The "stars" are now a part of them; a cherished memory to have and to hold dear...He is content and breathing in the moment through her..."Fireflies"..."Jugnu"...their connection to these ethereal, mystical, magical creatures...The most beautiful gift which status, money, or a hefty bank account can't buy! As it flies away, a sad disappointment on both of their faces! Her reassurance to him..."Aap chinta maat kijiye...ab hume daar nahi lag raha..." She has her ultimate gift with her--his love--and his commitment to them...While the light from the fireflies is temporary, she knows he is always her beacon, he is always there for her...Her sweet bravado steals his breath...He notices her torn kameez, she notices his wound...Care, touch, love, and honesty, all savored in that moment, its only about making the other feel better...Bawali Si Preet Mori,
Abb Chain Kaise Paaye,
Aaja Rasiya Mohe Ang Lagaale...
Bawali Si Preet Mori,
Abb Chain Kaise Paaye,
Aaja Rasiya Mohe Ang Lagaale...
Ang Lagale
Ang Lagale
Ang Lagale
Tan Ek Jaan Ek
Apna Ho Jahan Ek,
Aise Lipte Roh Se Rooh
Ki Ho Jaye Imaa Ek...
O Keshuo Si Kaali Ratiyaa,
Adhereon Pe Kaape Bateiyaa...
Sawali Ki Saansein Mori Arz Sunawe...
Aake Mori Shwate Preet Pe Rang Saza De!
Bawali Si Preet Mori,
Abb Chain Kaise Paaye,
Aaja Rasiya Mohe Ang Lagaale!~Kurbaan, O RaasiyaHe doesn't step his bounds as he draws that makeshift curtain for her. Her modesty tugs at his heart...He questions her again about how she knew he was in danger...But he knows the answer well before her own hesitation. Mind and heart at play beautifully...The very sight of her shadow as she secures her blouse reawakens his desire for her. A quick move to adjust the light...She pulls back the curtain to see him there...She is in the moment with him...Darkness into Light: The shadow play between love and lust, between love and where once there was hatred...Today, the light wins in those shadows...He senses her want, laced in apprehension...She steps back...He makes it simple...a slight kiss on the neck...nothing else...His intent very clear to her...Lifting her off of the ground...stepping to their bed for the evening...He takes her in, all of her...memories of her etched in his soul, now a reality in flesh and blood! A caress, and the moment he's waited for...as he bends to seal those lips with his own...Utterly hesitant and overwhelmed, she turns away...His gaze steady on her back...He doesn't need any other cue...His hands at the ready...as he moves to finally make her his own...Short-lived as it maybe..."Waves are the voices of tides. Tides are life..."~Tamora PierceThe impending danger upon them, he tries to rationalize with her..."Arnav!", she calls out! She cannot hear of him leaving without her...Time is of the essence and he knows the one thing they do not have is time..."Agar Tumhe Kuch Hogaya"...The "Kyun" in "Farq Padta Hai" answered once again...He holds her, warm in his embrace, slowly whispers his apology..."I Am Sorry...Main Jaanta Hoon Tum Nahi Manogi.."Before she can even comprehend the words, he puts her to sleep, in that most painful, yet beautiful manner...A broken stick, so that the blow isn't painful...So that she doesn't feel the pain for long...So that she remembers why he did it in the morning! So that she believes in him and gives into his own trust: She will find her way home...To be safe and to find him! That very Ocean--Arnav-with his hard nacre and his soft, deep mollusk heart (your "Pearl" here)--protects and saves her. Today, he let go of his own ego...Coming to your beautiful quote from The Alchemist on the story of Narcissus, Priya: Today, we saw Narcissus no more--trappings of Ego & Self are now in the past because she is his life!He covers her in straw--that symbol of protection. The kiss on the forehead a reminder to himself of why he is doing this...His world, his everything...His eyes don't want to leave the sight of her even when he's surrounded by the goons...Her safety his utmost priority!"Humaar Chote Hain Na Agar Woh Kisise Pyaar Karth Hain Aur Unke Liye Kuch Nahi Kar Saake To Khudi Ko Saaza Dene Laage..."Khushi will remember Naani's very words as she tries to piece together where he could be; to bring "her light" back into her life. In the midst of her pain and tears at his leaving, she now knows the answer to her own "Kyun, Arnavji...?" She is his everything, and just like the "I Love You" spurred her into action to find him, so shall this selfless act! She now knows why she always felt "Arnavji iss duniya ke sabse acche pati hain..." Today, the most definitive confirmation for that very statement! Her goal now to find him so that she can finally tell him what he means to her...It is her turn to show him!Priya, it seems in keeping with the track that Khushi will get shot. He has made the ultimate sacrifice for her, yet again...He saved her from Shyam, and now from the kidnappers. She will take the bullet to save him because she is just as selfless...Can't wait to see if this pans out!Other thoughts:I won't get into the overweight goons, the lapses in editing, or the BDs...That was quite a blouse!😆 The kisses & hugs--I can never get enough!! The song choice worked for me, yaar...lyrics were apt for the scene! The episode stood alone and showcased the immense talents of our powerhouse duo! Expressions, movements, and the chemistry were enough to give us a consummation scene without "it" actually happening...Frankly, I was awestruck and watched with bated breath till the last frame! But the day belonged to Sobti...A stellar performance to show that very shift from darkness into light...on so many levels...Arnav and ASR both played so beautifully in those few minutes when the goons come in! I am attaching a pic specially made for me by our very own Kalpana to honor what I saw on screen today...I think it needs to be shared! Take a bow, Barun!👏 👏Finally, I am going to leave us with a beautiful verse that just captures their momentary bliss..."Utterly engulfed,
And wanting more.
Buried,
Drowned,
Intoxicated,
With the vastness of love.
Losing myself as the waves wash over me,
Through me,
Surrounding me,
Caught up in the a hurricane of overwhelming peace,
I have let go,
And He has found me."~James L. Rubart, Rooms
