SS: Race - Part 4
Recap:
After a while, Khushi pulled back, sniffing as she wiped away the last of her tears and gave one of her signature smiles. She grabbed both of their hands and lead them to the car, falling back into normalcy, into the Khushi she was. As she lead them to the cars she said,
"We can stand here all night or we can go and celebrate! I choose to celebrate and i refuse to celebrate without you two, so let's go!" Her tinkling laughter filled the silent evening once again as she watched NK and Payal stumble after her.

Arnav looked around impatiently as he heard her tinkling laughter filled the night. He had spent a whole hour getting dressed, he had turned his apartment upside down and his roommates mad as he looked for the cologne Khushi had given before he had left, he remembered it was her favorite and she always bought it for him. Arnav was brought out of his thoughts at the sound of her voice,
"I'm so happy tonight! Except for the fact that you vanished into thin air then appeared right out of it as well making me go through hell! But I'll let it go because tonight is going to be special..." Her last words were whispered into the ears of some guy walking next to her, really closely, Arnav noticed.
"Really?! I can't believe it Mishti, I'm so happy for you!" Arnav heard the guy say in response to Khushi. He was still trying to figure out what those words meant when he saw that guy engulf Khushi, his Khushi, into a hug.
Arnav clenched his fists, he couldn't allow someone else to touch his Khushi, not that closely. He marched forward with purpose,
"So I see you decided to show up after all...right my Jungli Billi?" Arnav smirked leaning in close to Khushi. He watched as her eyes looked dazed at his closeness, then he saw as his words processed in her mind and the fire, he knew and loved, took over. Her eyes went wide with shocked anger at his closeness and words. He took it up a notch with a not so subtle wink. That got her.
"Laad Governor!" she shouted at him as she shoved him away. "No, no," He thought "He wasn't going to let her go this time...in more ways than one" He grabbed her wrist and tugged, she fell forward against his chest, her hands clutched onto his shirt, his cologne engulfed her, an "Oh!" escaped her lips as she recognized the cologne and as she realized how much she had missed his touch.
Khushi moved back to look at Arnav, all traces of anger and teasing gone from both their faces. Both their eyes drifted to their lips and back up, looking into their depths. Her hands, still clutching onto his shirt, fisted up even further. Arnav felt her shiver in his arms, he only tighten his hold on her. Khushi arched her back as his arms tighten around her waist. She was on her toes, their eyes almost level, noses nearly touching, lips centimeters apart, breaths mingling. Both wanting to close the distance between them once and for all.
NK couldn't help but mess with Arnav. He walked up behind Khushi and coughed a few times before he got their attention. He watched as they instantly yet relunctantly released each other. He wrapped his arm around Khushi's shoulders,
"I don't believe we've met. Why don't you introduce us Khush?" NK said with a playful smile on his face. Khushi looked up confused, slighty from what just happened with Arnav and at NK weird behavior.
"Uh...Um...NK this is Arnav...Arnav this is NK..." Khushi fumbled over her words. She moved her way out of NK arms, which didn't feel as right as the ones that were holding her a few seconds ago. She turned around to face Payal and begun a lively conversation with, trying to ease the tension around them.
But Arnav missing Khushi in his arms, was glaring at NK. "Who the hell was he?!" He thought. He saw NK reach forward for a handshake, he took a deep breath and shook hands with him rather roughly.
NK grunted at the tight hold and his hand was released. He watched as Arnav's eyes folllowed Khushi's every move. He saw how possesive he was with her, but what touched him was the true love shining from Arnav eyes whenever he looked at Khushi. At that moment he knew, he knew that him was never meant for Khushi, how she could never be his no matter what.
But, he also needed to know if Arnav deserved Khushi, all of her. Arnav hadn't been there for the last few years, but he had and he knew everything. NK made a decision then that he would have to talk to Arnav, tell him everything before he would let him near Khushi.
