A break from doing English songs? Changes are welcome especially as the entire Forum prepares for massive Monday!
The first thing that struck my mind is that your title which is also the most repeated phrase of the song calls upon the much-heard saying, "Love is Blind". I saw it in a different light when ArHi were put against this saying: Could love be so blind as to not let you 'see' that you were in love? Bingo! Exactly what these two were going through! How wonderful of you to come up with this, Kalpana! The key point of their entire story: that they were blind about their love for the other.
Marvelous indeed!
Our show's highlight Rabba Ve's mainly constitute of the breeze and the eyelock, right? I mean, they are the most prominent features in every Rabba Ve, which is why they are called Rabba Ves: because there is wind and eyelock and they are straining to not blink!! Rabba Ve!!
Now the chorus of this song that you have put across speaks of "hawa" and "dekho na" too...Goosebumps!! I'm loving this!!
So, Kalpana, with your amazing prequel to one of the most awaited episodes of the show, you shed light to the fact that all this while they had been blind or 'forcing' themselves to be blind to the love they had, but after being a few miles apart, not being able to contact or reach the other person...they realized it was time to open their eyes and let the light of love enter. No more blindness, no more games...only Love! And they started the "dekho na" phase through the 'grill' that separated them and the phase continues at every stop and corner they make in their escape only to get more trapped in the lasting love of the other's gaze...
Dekho Na! Dekho Na! *hum*hum*
P. S. I had forgotten that the song actually began with the sound of rain and when I was staring at the picture of ArHi's rain hug and heard the sound of rain in the BG, I was like...where did that-? and then I was like, Oh, the song! Your pictures are so full of life sometimes that we can hear and feel things as if they were moving and not stills captured to last! Superb realism!!
