Very well written synopsis of difference between repentance and redemption. You are correct, Khushi has forgiven him and has erased the past because that's who she is. A golden child with unconditional love for each member of her family whether Gypta or Raizadas. Khushi may not want neither but I am afraid I do. I don't want ASR to hurt himself or crawl on his belly but I want an acknowledgment of what Khushi is, totally innocent of all accusations level against her by Arnav. I don't think that is asking too much.

I agree they've both been through a lot...at this point, I just want them to reunite and be happy for a while. It is now Shyam's (the real villain) turn to suffer.

However, first I want Arnav to apologize to Khushi for all the verbal digs at her character. That is all. I don't think that's asking for much. At least when he physically hurt her, he always showed remorse right afterwards so I don't need to see any repentance for that. That's water under the bridge.

But calling her a gold-digger on multiple occasions, a home-wrecker trying to ruin his sister's marriage, a characterless girl whose parents are better off dead than seeing her like this...was a bit much. I haven't seen him regret those words yet.

I can't imagine how hurtful it was for her to hear that from the man she loves. Perhaps she has put it at the back of her mind right now as he is missing and her first priority is to find him. But no matter how big-hearted and forgiving she is, she's still a human being...she has a heart and she has feelings...no sane person would just "forget" the stuff he said to her, the way he judged her character. He even chose to believe Shyam's version of the story over hers. I'm sure she is aware of all this...she always hides her pain and keeps it to herself...but that doesn't mean she just forgot about it.

There is no question it will kill Arnav inside after he finds out the truth but that's not enough...he owes her a heartfelt apology. I don't want him to hurt himself...doing that will only hurt Khushi more. I'd rather see him finally open up to Khushi and give her a much-needed apology. The CVs need to give us that much!

After that, please go ahead and "do it" guys...I'll be more excited than anyone else 😛

Very well written post, I agree, I saw no redemption yet, only guilt & remorse for what could have been. Redemption is a long ways off, Khushi will not demand it off him, she's already forgiven him but he will probably need to redeem himself in his own eyes & that's when we will see a small redemption track.

I for one am not rooting for consummation right now, because I want them to give us a legit romance track, not the flirting that we saw during sangeet but a proper one. I want them to milk this romance track as much as possible for the time being until we get a proper Arhi wedding & SR.

The reason I say this, hindi serials, seem to fall apart at the seams after an ILU, let alone a consummation. They can never keep the magic going after that for some reason, so once bitten twice shy, I would rather have a full-blown romance track where he woos her and makes up for all the hurt he has given her with a proper wedding in the end.

I don't mind if they even start from 2nd base then proceed to 3rd base & finally home base. I definitely don't want them hitting a home run now for sure. 😉

@punkin - we are saying the same thing. He will show her. He never says anything outright but I see that happening when Shyam starts to malign her or something - he will defend her with his everything. Kind of like when she taught him that lesson on kidss never hurting anyone on purpose,he never said she was right, but when he said exactly what she said, she understood. Khushi understands his actions and can translate them.

@Ayerekhushi - I thought the dig at her parents was a sucker punch and not at all in character quite frankly - not for the man who talks about his dead parents with her. But, as I said to punkin, he will show her. The cvs have been pretty consistent with rewinding and redoing the hurt. As for golddigger comments, do you really think he believes in that and do you think Khushi believes that? He will make up for all the pain because he has to. But, when you hve 2 people who are married in a hut in the jungle who are in love attracted to each other, no one is going to pull out the apology check list.

@pixie - yes redeem himself in his own eyes and that is what Nani confirmed ins in his character. So sad that we can't have something as natural as a husband and wife making up the way people do all over the world because of trps. For me, why can't they do it, shyam finds out, goes apeshit, shoots khushi, asr breakdown asking dm for help, khushi gets better, 6 month marriage up..cvs take it from there...they can get married again

ROFL at the home base comment. If anything, I think consummation at the pinnacle of a emotionally charged moment would be amazing. Arhi always DO rather than SAY. That's why we got their first kiss and most intense moments before any confession. I'd rather see all this frustration, regret, forgiveness and most importantly, mutual love merged into one big action by consummating the marriage. That will show both of them how much one another means to them.

Redemption by whom? Guilt will lead to him making amends because he needs to clear his conscience but is that redemption? Why can't guilt lead to repentence which is self initiated.

Redemption connotes a cleansing of sin. Repentence is conscience driven.

Can I just say ditto. These two are actions over words. And that's why they say ILU or sorry it means a hell of a lot. And there eyes have been locking long enough. Let us move onto some other appendages in a totally emotionally genuine moment.
