Point well taken Mr Hegde. Yeah we criticize a lot but thats because we love,love , love your show to the extreme. At the same time we understand that it's not always possible to deliver exciting storyline. We also understand that though IPK is mostly watched by younger generation or by people with a young heart , you can't ignore the TRP aunties as in the larger chunk of the audience. We understand all that.But well let's say we are too involved in it that we fail to understand your stand in this.
As far as I am concerned I never watched any Desi soaps before in my life though I have a pretty good idea about them . I dislike saas Bahu saga and IPK is NOT that and I am HOOKED. No matter what the TRP chart shows , it's very popular here in USA. IPK rocks and thank you all as in the CVs for giving us this.

Mr. Hegde, as you can see this forum is pretty much a 24/7 shop because we have users log in across different time zones. For most of us, this is probably the one and only show we watch. The reason we are so passionate is we believe this is really a stand out amongst all SP serials. We understand and acknowledge that Barun and Sanaya are the front end to it and there is a whole team working behind them.

Having said the above, we were totally disappointed at the way the track went for 3 months after the marriage. The whole forum liked the change of pace since the Gupta House visit and the sharper script in play last 2 weeks in spite of Barun's absence.

We were equally disappointed with the TRP fall in spite of such wonderful episodes since the ME. Most of us are still discussing as to how SP needs to air more promos to lure back lost viewers. This should show how passionate we are about this serial in spite of most users watching it online or are outside of India and do not contribute to the TRP! So please take our criticisms the constructive way and at the same time we eagerly look forward to the return of the wonderful tight track that had all hooked on to IPK from the first episode.

GH and Gul,

Lots of valid points in your post but...

There are also a lot of valid reasons why the TRPs are falling and the fans are upset

1) is this a love story or a hate one? Because 90% of the show till now seems to be about nafrat. The pyaar was there for 2-3 weeks before the wedding and then months of hate again.

2) the flimsy, flimsy misunderstanding that is being dragged for months now to serve what purpose?

You really think people wait to watch that on screen for so long?

3) the stupid comedy track that we had to go through.

4) IPL - other shows seemed to plan for IPL but you guys seemed lost and the track instead of getting better, regressed and then you'll tried to use IPL as an excuse for the falling TRPs.

5) misuse of the cast. You'll only focused on the leads and did not develop a parallel track right from the beginning.

6) focused on developing only one character to the expense of everyone else on the show.

7) lazy and inconsistent writing at times eg. random scenes of the lead taking his shirt off and eye locks that go on for ever.

8) not realizing that the real TRP audience is not going gaga over the leads but is really looking for a good consistent and engaging story with good acting and direction.

9) very bad production values. If the PH has no money to spend on the sets or on the leads clothes how are they getting money to start new shows? Something does not add up.

10) stupid bubbli track and now masala mama. NK should have never left.

Agreed that you'll have a very good team behind the scenes and people here on the forum have acknowledged them from time to time. The reason people take time to comment and criticise is because they love this show and are worried about the falling TRPs. Maybe you can take it in the right spirit and try to make some changes instead of whining.

The episodes after the last ME have been so much better which proves my point about the lazy writing. When you'll had to you'll rose to the challenge. If only you guys had done this 2 months ago things would be different.

So bring the love back (does not have to mushy), end the silly misunderstanding and keep the story tight like the last couple of weeks and you'll will be back!

To be fair Jenny - I like the fact that finally in his message he is owning up to the fact that they goofed. It's nice to see that they own it.

point noted mr.hegde...but plz take a look at the trp s ... SP wont give a damn about how hard u work if u keep putting up such dismal trp s...even we wont be able to save u...of course,we may rant n rave...but ultimately its all abt money n i dont think SP will listen to a bunch of girls as 8 pm is a prime slot...

Mr Hegde, thanks for giving this post and your point of working hard is well taken and agreed. If it was not for the hard working team you would not see such ardent fans of this unique show. So as a follow up, let me ask you a question why doesnt Star Plus's Saas Bahu and Saazish conduct any interviews with the people behind the scenes? Why do we always see the credentials in small fonts, racing somewhere below the screen fast as fast as it can? There was a time when a title song would be played with all details, why did the channel scrap that? Not everybody googles!

Yes you have a daily show to run and you guys aint no Superman or the new term in town-- The Avengers. I completely empathize with that-- but as a dedicated and addicted fan of your show, I think I have the right to rant when the content is Chalta hai because sorry to say har cheez ka farak padta hai! We have seen the best of IPK and hence just covet the best from it! Because if we had to take any less, we would be enthusiastically watching some other err..un-creative shows on SP! As a whole team you have given us Arnav/Khushi and still have to give their love story jo do lafzon mein bayan na ho paye, lets not fall short of words now! It is now that it should become epic!

It is good to know that the team realizes where it is defaulting and we appreciate that!

Dear Mr. Hegde,

I understand your sentiments and at the same time appreciate that you and PH are making efforts to reach out to the fans.

However, fans are not enemies of the show either. Yes, it may look like the viewers, especially online viewers complain a lot, but all we want is the success of the show.

Your show runs on SP and a major chunk of TRP audience, do not come online and they will probably never come across this message of yours. All they want is a good and logical story and they were deprived of it in the last two months. The outcome of it is the constant fall of TRPs.

Being an ardent fan, I sincerely appreciate the efforts made by the cvs and the PH. You have improved the storyline and taken the viewers suggestion into account and your efforts are visible.

IPPKND is an SO style show but at the same time it airs on SP ( a high GEC channel driven by trps). If you communicate this message to us, we will understand your sentiments and appreciate the fact that you communicated with us. But what about the trp audience who have moved on to other shows because of the inconsistencies? You will have to convince them to come back through proper promotion and a good track. Light hearted moments are always great but please avoid slapstick comedy as viewers don't connect with it.

Please do something about the frequency of promos if possible. All other SP shows air lots promos and that too, at frequent intervals.

A big thank you for this message.

I hope the trp audience sees your hard work and efforts too.

PS: Please don't deal with a serious track or a serious moment with comedy. It usually dilutes the impact of the scene. Those funny looking detectives could have been avoided.

I agree Anu. I am glad he is owning up to it, but that's all GH does. He agrees, but does nothing. I would have liked if he admitted yes, they did goof up, but they are trying to fix it instead of giving various excuses as to why.

I miss this show.. * sniff*

Feel like GH needs to watch his own show from the beginning. IPL is not an excuse for bad tracks. IPL has affected everyone. But tell me why is BV #2 despite IPL and 8 pm slot? and we are god knows where?
