Red Wine Dear Mr. Hegde glad to know that the team of IPK takes its viewers angst so seriously & actually comes out & puts forth its views. I don't think there is a single fan of IPK who doesn't appreciate or applaud the team for the wonderful show they have put together for us .. its because of the brilliance of the team that you have such a passionate fan following & of course there is a flip side to Passion ... while extreme passion gets you love .. this extreme love for "OUR" product also will get you brickbats when things are not going well. When there is wonderful scene .. like the beautiful diwali track or the wonderful holi track .. you have your audiences & fans rooting for you ... praising GUl & gang to all heights ... its only fair that when something doesn't go according to expectations we will voice out. Furthermore if we as your fans are not vocal how will you know whether your track is working or not??? you want to wait for early morning wednesday to get the report card .. when we can give it to you at 8:35 every night??? You are right this show is different from the whole genre of regressive woman shows shown to us on TV ... when you have a concept of a progressive woman who does what it takes to support her adoptive family ... suddenly one fine day you show her as not only regressive but dim witted ... we would have a problem with that. A scene being shot wrong is a temporary angst .. one can understand all the pressures of the PH ... but characterizations changing & going for a toss ... how do u justify that your audience will take that?
Furthermore, personally i have never had any issue with you guys (the writers of the show) its the only show i feel who has stuck to the tag line from day one of the show till date commendable ... & i hope you remain true to this tag line ...
Now hoping that people higher up in the PH will also read this ... guys I am sure a PH of your stature understands simple direction ... i have always felt there is nothing wrong in the writing of the show .. its the directors interpretation of the written word which is grossly wrong here .. maybe i am a novice but thats what i feel ... You know when consistently there are continuity jerks .. which novice audiences like me can catch .. then it shows how interested the director is in the show ... & how much respect he has for the intelligence of his audience ... just by being a bit different in content you have fortunately or unfortunately attracted a diverse base of audience some with some thinking power ... pls don't insult our intelligence. Looking at this whole Barun fiasco ... i would love to share a link of my posts yesterday outlining my thought on the same.
