Manorama was weird today

I don't understand manorama.i know she is not a negative character.she didn't wanted akshay to marry payal because she is poor.she always troubled and insulted payal after marriage.but today her behaviour was really strange.why was she scolding bubbly for troubling payal?why suddenly she was sympathetic towards payal?i thought when she comes to know that bubbly troubled payal a lot,she could have been very happy but she was angry at bubbly.probably she is slowly accepting payal as her DIL and is liking her.
