I don't think Arnav thought the HUG made her 'impure' or 'character-less', it was more of the fact that he thinks Khushi is in a relationship with a married man and more so with his sister's husband! Moreover, it wasn't just the hug but also the thing Khushi said after pushing away about Shyam leaving Anjali which hurt Arnav more. I'm not defending him here, I'm just saying it's not the HUG which is the problem it's the idea that Khushi would be in a relationship with Shyam.

The CVs seem confused as to whether they want Arnav and Khushi to have developed and changed, matured. Or whether they want to keep them stuck in the same repetitive doubts and self-doubts since episode one.

Rima I don't think he felt she is impure because she HUGGED La. He is an extremely possessive lover and he can't erase the picture of Khushi and Shyam together in an intimate position . That's it. He always reacted before. He reacted when NK TALKED TO KHUSHI, when Khushi was engaged to Shyam didn't he? The mere thought of her with anyone else made him vulnerable. Now it's his BIL whom he practically worshipped . He saw practicallly a father figure(Arnav respected Shyam a lot and trusted him with his life) lusting for his only Lady love and they are hugging each other. Do you think anybody would be in their right mind after watching this?
Arnav is stuck at the terrace and he needs to witness another encounter between Shyam and Khushi to erase the previous scene from his mind. Maybe that's where we are heading to when Khushi saves him from Shyam.
Anyway I think he called her characterless because she who always talks about the value of marriage , was asking Shyam to break his marriage with Anjali.He does not know that she was beyond frustrated because of the repeated attempts by Shyam and said those words which she did not mean at all. It's her sheer misfortune that Arnav was there at a wrong time to hear all the wrong words.

But in this context of IPKKND- I thought ASR was more disgusted with the fact that "In his imagination , the reason Khushi asked Shyam to leave Anjali was because she wanted him all for herself" ... it may not have been all about the Hug , but the words he heard her saying after they broke the hug.

He also said she tried to seduce a married man and pasaofy his bil...Did he mean that his bil is just another innocent man being helplessly seduced by the characterless Khushi???

In any case...I just hope Khushi finishes this clearing her name thing and dumps the guy for now until he falls on his knees and begs for her forgiveness...A HUGE apology is in order for Khushi...I hope she gets her justice from the hands of her creators (the CVs...)
