Set fire to rain
It was full moon night, and moon was shining brightly. All buildings, trees and even the roads which leads to lonely hostel building was completely bathed in the serene moon light. Cool wind was blowing softly. Khushi was sitting in the small balcony in front of her room in the hostel. There is a middle school besides this hostel where she teaches small orphan children and also cooks for them in evening. She finds pleasure and peace of mind here as she feels that as if she is closed to her near ones.
She was constantly gazing at the moon. She remembers how she uses to sit in the back garden of her bua ji's house and use to stare at the moon for hours. She closed her eyes as she remembers her family. Her babu ji, her amma and bua ji .all her beloved ones. She contact them often through phone, but it was quite long since she met them face to face. In fact it was more than five months, she met them, and it was more than five months since she left them, left him.
His face came to her. She remembered the last day she met him and saw his face he remember very well every regretful features of his face. His teary eyes, his silent pleas. She know well that deep down his heart , he too loved her, cared for her and aware of her innocence But the accusations he made to her, she can't bear it. She was waiting for this final night to arrive so that she may leave and may die peacefully. Up till this day she hoped that he may force her to stay him like he use to do. She hoped that he may something which may ease her pain but he didn't utter a single word.
All her hopes died at that stormy night. A cloud thunder and she opened her eyes.
The scene at the sky was changed totally; dark black clouds enclosed the moon entirely. It was dark all around. It seems that this peaceful night will turn into a dark stormy night. And thundering of the clouds depicts that it may rain soon. Another memory stuck into her mind a dark stormy night, just like this one
how could she forget that night? A stormy night, with winds blowing at mighty speed. She was waiting for everyone to fall asleep; she packed her stuff, her clothes, her shoes, her bangles, everything. She didn't want to leave anything back which may remind him of her.
All the while he stayed outside the room, near poolside but kept an eye on her, watching her as if his life depends on it. It was past midnight, when she finished her packing. She was confident that everyone will be in deep sleep by now; she took her bags and moved outside towards him.
" Arnav ji, I am leaving.
Hope your all problems will be solved and your life will be peaceful since you don't have to see my face from now on" she said
"wait Khushi will drop you." He said
"No, thanks a lot. I will go myself." She replied
She saw tears left his eyes but she moved quickly passed him, before his tears bound her.
It was lightning heavily and clouds were thundering loudly. She does not know what to do and where to go. Tears were blinding her vision. Her pain is tearing up her heart. She felt she is leaving her life behind her, she was crying and was oblivious of her surroundings, and where her feet were taking her. It starts raining. And she has to find a shelter before she completely drenched.
And when she found a shelter it was the same orphanage where she works now
The people here treated her well, gave her place to live and job as well.
She contacted her bua ji next day and told her all what happened with her. And begged her to not tell anyone about her whereabouts. And promise her to call her often.
Since then she contacted them very often and got to know all about "him" from them.
Bua ji once told her that all members of Raizada family visited them last week. And nani ji begged them to tell them about Khushi whereabouts. Which she refused as she promised to Khushi
But bua ji was pleading Khushi to contact Arnav as he is changed physically a lot, his face resembles a skeleton now and he is so much weak
Khushi's heart skips a beat when she heard about him. But she did not want to contact him
It starts to rain now and the heavy down pour forced her to move inside. When she got up she looked down in the street and her heart stopped beating
She saw a white SUV, his car and with that HIM, standing in the rain, all drenched watching straight towards her
