Heyy guys, so I made another random OS, inspired by the events of today's episode, hope everyone enjoys it =]]
It had been a long day and Arnav finally came to Khushi's house after work. A month had passed and yet they'd remained in her house and strangely, he had adjusted quite well to her village, the small but cozy house and her crazy antics. He walked into their room, tugged off his tie and placed his laptop on the table, getting ready to finally retire to bed. "Khushi?" he called, looking for her petite form, but she was nowhere to be found. 'Where did she go so late at night?' he wondered as he glanced over the room one more time and checked the bathroom as well. "Khushi??" he called out, this time his voice louder as he stepped outside the bedroom and walked through the house, "Khushi where are you?" he called out loud. Annoyance settling in with a tinge of worry, "KHU-", he started but was cut off by her hand covering his mouth. "SHH!" she said, holding a candle and matches, her eyes as wide as saucers, "You'll wake everyone!" she said. He pushed her hand away and asked, "Where WERE you?" Khushi gently pushed past him and walked into their bedroom. He followed close behind her, shut the door and turned her around, "Khushi, I'm asking you a question!" he said staring at her. Khushi sighed and placed a hand on her hips, "Woh kya hena...the town is experiencing some sort of a power shortage so we're about to run out of current soon so I went to get a candle and matches" she said, trying to light the candle. He looked at her like she was crazy, "What the! When?" he asked, and no sooner had he asked, that the lights went out, leaving them both in a shroud of darkness. After a moment of silence between them, Khushi finally lit the candle and what she saw took her breath away. In the hazy light of the candle, she saw his eyes like she'd never seen them before. They were so beautiful and filled it seemed, with secrets. She forgot about her fear of the darkness and thought instead of the pain lurking in the depths of his eyes that she couldn't put a finger on but felt to the core of her soul. His aquiline nose, the five o' clock shadow on his jaw and the sexy curve of his lips made her take a step back. Suddenly, there was a sort of nervous energy between them, the air crackling with things unsaid and the light of the candle hinting at unspoken desires.

When Khushi took a step back, his heart skipped a beat and he felt a sudden urge to be close to her, to hold her in the darkness so that he wouldn't lose her. He took a step towards her and heard her gulping as her hand shook to keep the candle upright. Grinning at his effect on her, he slowly slid a hand over her shaky hand that was holding the candle to steady it. "Khushi" he whispered gazing into her eyes. "Hmm?" she asked, not breaking her concentration. "We'll go to sleep?" he asked her. For a minute his question seemed to confuse her and then like she'd been broken from a trance, she stepped back and gently pried his fingers off her hand.

"I'I have to wash my face," she said, her heart beating wildly as she walked to the bathroom. When she turned around to close the door, she turned smack into his chest and her heart stopped altogether as she smelled the musky scent of his cologne and felt the muscular ridges of his chest. He gently took the candle from her hand and said, "Khushi we only have one candle. I'll hold it while you wash your face" he said. She once again stepped back and nodded, grateful that he couldn't hear the fast pace of her heart. She turned on the faucet and splashed cold water on her face, trying to get rid of the thoughts that were racing through her mind...his manly chest, his soft lips that had once graced her skin...what it would feel like to have them grace her skin again...

His breath caught in his throat as she washed her face, the little droplets of water clinging to her skin. He felt a strange jealousy towards the water droplets, which slowly made a tantalizing journey down the side of her face, touching her eyelashes, her nose and finally her luscious lips. He gripped his hold on the candle and tried to control his emotions but once he saw her hair curling upon the touch of the water, his mouth went dry. "Khushi hurry up!" he said, gritting his teeth. She looked up suddenly, surprised at his change of tone and turned the faucet off. "I'm tired and I need to sleep" he said. Just as he was about to turn around, a slight breeze came from the open window and blew the candle out. "What the-" he started as once again they were plunged into darkness. "Arnavji...a-aap kaha hai?" he heard Khushi ask uncertainly. "Here...I'm right here" he said, feeling around for her until his fingers grazed the softness of her arm. His fingers closed around her wrist and pulled her to his side and together, they walked to the bed, feeling their way in the darkness. "Agaya!" Khushi said as she felt the bed hit her knees. Suddenly she lost her balance and fell on the bed, making him fall on top of her. "Khushi!!" he said, frustration creeping into his voice as he fell on top of her soft body. And just like that the desire he'd felt for her just moments earlier came back with a flash. He could feel her every curve underneath him as she tried, unsuccessfully, to move away from him. Her breath smelled spicy and her skin, like jasmine flowers. Intoxicated by her scent, he leaned in and kissed her gently on her soft lips. Her lips quivered underneath his and finally giving in to temptation, he traced the outline of her lips with his finger. In the pale moonlight he could see a little tendril of hair that had begun to curl around her chin and he grasped it around his finger, and kissed the area where it had lain, only to hear her gasp. "Thoda...thoda garmi hain na?" he asked, as he grazed her cheeks with his hand. Her cheeks heated up as she looked back at him, "Ji?" she asked, her lips trembling. Grinning, he finally moved over, letting her get up. She grasped his arm for support and with what little light the moon gave; they went to their respective sides of the bed. They both lay awake in bed that night, their minds restless with the chemistry that they had just shared. What he would give to touch her again like that, to make her truly his, but no...he didn't trust her, he couldn't...not with what he knew about her and Shyam. And yet, no matter how much he tried to deny it, there was an innocence in her, a part that seemed truly untouched by anyone before. After several hours, they both finally drifted to sleep, each mind filled with dreams of dangerous desires and fierce passion.

Arnav slowly opened his eyes and blinked as the morning rays of the sun hit him. When he tried to get up, he found a very warm Khushi snuggled up against him, his lips on her hair as her hands lay against his chest. His arm was lightly resting on her waist and he felt an urge to pull her closer and to keep her there. He felt a strange warmth fill his heart and he smiled, kissing her on her forehead. "Kuch kuch hota hai...tum nehi sumjaoonge Khushi Khumari Gupta" he whispered in her ear...and a moment later added, "Singh Raizada".
