My short story today has nothing to do much with the episode apart from the fact that with time always makes us realize the importance of love and ultimatley it does reign supreme and so shall be the case between Arnav and Khushi...

Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island. The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty.

Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, "Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?"

"No," replied Prosperity, "my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you."

A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, "Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you."

Vanity responded haughtily, "No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet."

Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. "No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself."

When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone.

Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, "Come Love, I will take you with me." Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place.

On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, "Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?"

Knowledge smiled, "Oh, that was Time."

"And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?" Love wondered.

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, "Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world."

"The important message is that when we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?"

Episode:

The episode begins with Arnav reliving the emotional conversation between a mother and a daughter...where he rightly realizes how he is failing

Khushi and in turn her mother Garima as well..his heart again starts ruling and he feels that he should be atleast human to her...at the same time

he cannot deny the attraction he feels towards her, the helplessness of his love for her, his need for her to be a part of his life, his desire to be

protective of her and ends up holding her hand...

When two people are truly connected, the increase in distance between them is indirectly proportional to the closeness between them.

Morning comes and so does Arnav's rational behavior with her, his sudden change from shaitan to Rajkumar again confuses her and she is sure that there is

some hidden agenda behind his kindness...I am not dedcating any poem to khushi's over active imagination today..instead here is something by Pamela Folks which will relate to her feelings in the previous episode...

Your love was a mystery that I could never solve.

We circled around each other, always careful.

Never wanted to step over that line to god knows where.

Do you watch me, to see my faults?

Is that why you look so intently?

I lie.

Because I have to.

You wouldn't understand.

Why won't you just take me, faults and all,

Dood and sathu are the specialists and will do a brilliant job at explaining the things correctly as usual but please put up with my attempt at

decoding a few things...maybe absolutely wrong but made sense to me.

Things that stood out::

Bakariya ho kiya by Buaji...Khushi referred to as a goat...

Goats are mentioned many times in the Bible. A goat is considered a "clean" animal by Jewish dietary laws and was slaughtered for an honored guest.

It was also acceptable for some kinds of sacrifices. On Yom Kippur, the festival of the Day of Atonement, two goats were chosen and lots were drawn for them. One was sacrificed and the other allowed to escape into the wilderness, symbolically carrying with it the sins of the community. From this comes the word "scapegoat".

Here if we consider Payal and khushi as goats where Khushi was sacrificed at the altar and the other i.e Payal was set free in the wilderness of the RM

with the sins of Shyam on her back...and she will be used as the scapegoat by Akash later when the truth is out in front of the family and will be ousted of RM as Bubbliya darling also hinted today by Rani out...

Baat to nahin ker rahe but saaye ki tarhan peechay pare hain...Arnav referred to as her gUardian Angel

This uttered right after he saved her from burning herself...she herself has defined him as her guardian angel...The Arabic term al-mu'aqqibat means "those who follow one upon another" is a term occuring in the Quran which some Islamic commentators consider to refer to a class of guardian angels who keep people from death until its decreed time. In Islamic tradition a guardian angel or watcher (angel) (raqib "watcher") is an angel which maintains every being in life, sleep, death or resurrection. The Arabic singular for mu'aqqibat would be a mu'aqqib "a person which follows."These angels are included in the hafazhah ("the guards") and the concept of the guardian angel in Islam is similar to the concept of the guardian angel in some Jewish and Christian traditions.

Arnav has time and again proved to be a guardian angel for her..guest house sequenec, Nainital trip, Babuji's bill and many more instances...

Some reduxians have already explained the 36 ka ankra and 36 guns of kundli theory...so i shall not go there...And i must say they sound very apt...but still the number reminded me of something which I studied in university...never knew will be applying uni knowledge in IPK...The 36 strategems ...which is basically a collection of 36 ruses, unorthodox or deceptive means to be used in politics or wars..(in chinese)

Thirty-Six Stratagems...guys read them and see if you can also associate with these as the method of war between Arnav and Shyam...Some have been used some might be used in future...and some never will be used probably...

Deceive the heavens to cross the ocean

Prepare too much and you lose sight of the big picture; what you see often you do not doubt. Yin (the art of deception) is in Yang (acting in open). Too much Yang (transparency) hides Yin (true ruses).

Besiege Wi to rescue Zho

When the enemy is too strong to be attacked directly,

then attack something he holds dear. [married Khushi and stop the money flow]

Kill with a borrowed knife

Attack using the strength of another (in a situation where using one's own strength is not favourable).

Leisurely await for the laboured

It is an advantage to choose the time and place for battle. In this way you know when and where the battle will take place, while your enemy does not. Encourage your enemy to expend his energy in futile quests while you conserve your strength. When he is exhausted and confused, you attack with energy and purpose.

Loot a burning house

Keep gathering internal information about an enemy. If the enemy is currently in its weakest state ever, attack it

without mercy and totally destroy it to prevent future troubles. [I am assuming that Arnav will be working on collecting info about Shyam]

Make a sound in the east, then strike in the west

In any battle the element of surprise can provide an overwhelming advantage. [The file is definitely a ruse...Arnav is going to strike elsewhere]

Create something from nothing

A plain lie. Make somebody believe there was something when there is in fact nothing. [Shyam has lied about Khushi and built a two sided love story of nothing]

Watch the fires burning across the river

Delay entering the field of battle until all the other players have become exhausted fighting amongst themselves. Then go in at full strength and pick up the pieces.

Hide a knife behind a smile

Charm and ingratiate yourself to your enemy. When you have gained his trust, move against him in secret.

Sacrifice the plum tree to preserve the peach tree

There are circumstances in which you must sacrifice short-term objectives in order to gain the long-term goal. This is the scapegoat stratagem whereby someone else suffers the consequences so that the rest do not.

Revive something from the past by giving it a new purpose or bring to life old ideas, customs, or traditions and reinterpret them to fit your purposes.

Never directly attack an opponent whose advantage is derived from its position. Instead lure him away from his position thus separating him from his source of strength.

In order to capture, one must let loose

Cornered prey will often mount a final desperate attack. To prevent this you let the enemy believe he still has a chance for freedom.

[Arnav's ultimatum to shyam that you have a chance to rectify your mistakes...but if you notice he is making all the moves to remove him thus just the illusion that he is scott free]

Tossing out a brick to get a jade gem

Bait someone by making him believe he gains something or just make him react to it ("toss out a brick") and obtain something valuable from him in return ("get a jade gem").

Defeat the enemy by capturing their chief

We all know what that means

[Shyam will use the chief Anjali against Arnav]

Remove the firewood from under the pot

If something must be destroyed, destroy the source.

Disturb the water and catch a fish

Create confusion and use this confusion to further your own goals.

Slough off the cicada's golden shell

It's a stratagem mainly used to escape from an enemy of superior force. Mask yourself. Either leave flamboyant traits behind, thus going incognito, or just masquerade yourself and create an illusion to fit your goals and distract others.

Shut the door to catch the thief

To deliver capture the enemy, you must plan prudently if you want to succeed.

Do not rush into action. Before you "move in for the kill", first cut off your enemy's escape routes, and cut off any routes through which outside help can reach them.

Befriend a distant state while attacking a neighbour

Borrow the resources of an ally to attack a common enemy. Once the enemy is defeated, use those resources to turn on the ally that lent you them in the first place. [Guptas and the laxminagar mohalla will prove to be an ally for Arnav]

Replace the beams with rotten timbers

Disrupt the enemy's formations, interfere with their methods of operations,

change the rules in which they are used to following, go contrary to their standard routine.

Point at the mulberry tree while cursing the locust tree

To discipline, control, or warn others whose status or position excludes them from direct confrontation; use analogy and innuendo. When names are not used directly, those accused cannot retaliate without revealing their complicity.

Feign madness but keep your balance

Hide behind the mask of a fool, a drunk, or a madman to create confusion about your intentions and motivations. Lure your opponent into underestimating your ability until, overconfident, he drops his guard. Then you may attack.

Remove the ladder when the enemy has ascended to the roof

With baits and deceptions, lure your enemy into treacherous terrain.

The empty fort strategy

When the enemy is superior in numbers and your situation is such that you expect to be overrun at any moment, then drop all pretense of preparedness and act calmly so that the enemy will think you are setting an ambush. This stratagem has to be used sparingly and only after one has first developed a reputation for prowess. This also depends on having a clever opponent who, in perceiving a trap, may over-think his reaction.

Let the enemy's own spy sow discord in the enemy camp

Inflict injury on oneself to win the enemy's trust

Pretending to be injured has two possible applications. In the first, the enemy is lulled into relaxing his guard since he no longer considers you to be an immediate threat. [This might happen if Arnav kidnapping track is ahead]

Chain stratagems

In important matters, one should use several stratagems applied simultaneously after another as in a chain of stratagems. Keep different plans operating in an overall scheme; however, in this manner if any one stratagem fails, then the chain breaks and the whole scheme fails.

If all else fails, retreat

If it becomes obvious that your current course of action will lead to defeat, then retreat and regroup. When your side is losing, there are only three choices remaining: surrender, compromise, or escape. Surrender is complete defeat, compromise is half defeat, but escape is not defeat. As long as you are not defeated, you still have a chance. [this was the first used by Arnav...when he couldn't tell Anjali the truth because of her pregnancy he retreated to re-group but never accepted nor can accept defeat]

totally agree on TRP. I thought the MU will be cleared in phases. Like now khushi knows the truth or even half truth, then arnav has to know the remaining part, then khushi should know the full truth and so on ... All are high points in drama even before confession. So definitely take more time than just one month. These are bound to fetch more TRPs there will be atleast 2-3 weeks gap between these high points na?
