That was a beautiful description of today's episode and I loved your comments in purple...fantastic post.

Yes...the CVs are more generous towards ASR's character...and I think because Barun depicts it so well, we have fallen in love with a grey shaded character (I highly doubt I would have liked this character if anyone else had portrayed it...)
Loved loved loved how sweet he was in the episode today. And one thing I liked was that they showed him coming to know about the financial problems of the Guptas due to the expenditure on things for his comfort.

It kind of reminded me of the older episodes when he would come to know the truth about minor misunderstandings he had about Khushi (like when she comes back after the Diwali episode Anjali tells him she is not taking money for training La...).
He would immediately soften up...Barun gives fantastic expressions...and today was no exception.

Khushi persistent about him calling Garima Amma - poor girl...I think she was trying hard to make him feel that her parents are like his parents..she was just trying to strengthen Arnav's relationship with her family - there was no ulterior motive behind that.
She does not know what happened with his Mom...

But...after he refused to comply twice, she should have backed off and not pressed the issue.

Arnav's reaction, from his POV was totally valid (except, his shouting on her in front of her family...)
For him, his past is a festering sore, which continues to hurt him and will not go away...

Anyway, although I would have liked him to divulge more information to her, at this point in the story he does not think of her as the KHushi before...he will not share his pain with her as yet.

They both did hurt each other, but bonded in a weird way today - by giving each other insights into their respective lives that the other is unaware of.

Loved the ending scene...him looking at her in fascination and she gulping down the gol gappas...this is the Arnie she fell in love with...he needs to come out more often!

Shweta..šŸ¤— Agreed, Barun deserves all the praises and accolades coming his way for breathing life into ASR..I too firmly believe that had it been anyone else playing this character, I wouldn't be able to like him as much as I do now..

I agree that Khushi had no ulterior motives when she kept pestering him to call Garima "Amma"..I do think she should have got the message when he constantly refused her pleas, but I guess seeing him apologizing to her family in his own sweet way, propelled her to ask him once more, perhaps to make him feel like he was surrounded by family, wanting him to find a mother in Garima just like she did..

Yes, Arnav telling her anything about his past at this point of the story is not logical..But I actually would have loved to see Khushi prodding a little more, this is the one common ground they share, the lose of their parents, their is lots of bonding prospect here, better luck next time I guess!

Shweta, you said it, they both are bound to each other..Both of them are damages, both have hurt each other intentionally and unintentionally, both oftem bring out the worst in the other, but they are also their truest self only with each other, both always find it so easy to drop down all their guards in front of the other, their relationship is skewed, but very intimate one nonetheless..

Thank you for the reply Shweta, much appreciated..😊

Even I agree with you karan Thakker looks refereshing we need to understand how much pressure IPKKND PH have ie.Gul and Nissar. They expected this serial to be hit but not a runway hit...We know how much people expect from them. Now we find every 3rd day Barun giving interview on some channel. So we can expect hw popular he is???Coming to Karan in EHMMBBH there are 2 leads actors and2 lead actress.ie.Nia.Crystak,karan and khushal they give imp to all.And compared to character of ASR which really takes a lot of energy. There Karan does nt have to work so mch.Its a simple cute role...As far as my knowledge goes Karan is from an affluent family for him working or nt is nt going to matter. He has something if he has no acting offers..And mainly he is single so no pressure. As far i knw barun comes frm a simple middle class family and he is married he has grter responsibilties...As he mentions tv is bread and butter so poor thing has to slog..why do u worry..ph know and he too wl demand when he needs...

Therefore, the CVs are showing that tired look for him.

Ahh that would make sense if he just looked tired in this track..I have been noticing that he looks exhausted for quite some time now..They really need to give the guy a few days off..More so because the upcoming track is a heavy duty one and performing such scenes drains out the actors further more..

Thank you for the reply..😊

TanušŸ¤— - We've all been so cautious since last week but we right, Thank goodness, IPKKND is back! Loved everything you've said, beautifully typed as always, wonderful insight into ASR!

Loved, loved, loved today's episode and all of it - the CVS are finally listening, there is nothing more to it. Absolutely right about the script being, crisp and tight. Beautiful journey of emotions today in Gupta household throughout this episode. ASR's guilt for jumping to conclusions and accusing Khushi, his guilt at placing his comfort first without regards to the inconvenience and hurt sentiments of others and the way he attempted to right his wrongs. The way in which he convinced them to accept it all without hurting their pride - I loved the CVS for this one moment where Arnav says he is the "damand" of the house after all and that too, one with a huge appetite, I love these quirky IPKKND originality moments because they didn't go down the cliched route of "I'm not you son-in-law but your son" - loved how they balanced that scene without compromising the core of ASR's characterisation. Completely right though Tanu, ASR is the only man who would treat his in-laws Italian one day and by bags of gol gappes the next. I love this generosity trait ASR has, reminds me of how he bought a truck-load of plates for Khushi on the wedding day.

But what made me squeal with happiness the most was Khushi, they're reviving her character more and more, I mean essentially everybody knew why Khushi was behaving this way - she isn't one to let anything bring her down and she'll smile even in the face of adversity but I loved the moment when she broke and told Arnav that she's been "hurt" by him too - she also reminded me of the Khushi who would never be afraid to tell ASR exactly what he doesn't want to hear but ASR's come a long way that he listened and felt guilty. What really worked was when Khushi turned around and said "I know you're upset with me and in anger you said so but when I've been upset with you, I've never taken it out on your family and never will I do so ..." - it's gearing towards the MU revelation!

So much worked about this episode, I can't even begin, we had comedy, drama, emotions and romance. Loved today's Rabba Vey, Arnav's curious expressions watching Khushi feasting on the food he knew would make her smilešŸ˜† and favourite line "khaatta, meeta aur theeka" - not gol gappes but ArnavšŸ˜†

One of the main reasons I've been looking forward to this GH track was to see Arnav's character grow and appreciate that wealth doesn't always secure happiness and that those who are less wealthy doesn't make them any less of a person - they too can have equally big hearts.

I know everybody wanted ASR and Shashi to bond but I for one loved seeing Garima and Arnav bond with Buaji too - nice little surprise by the CVSšŸ‘

... and Bubbliya .. what the... I do not understand THIS kid. Attention seeking kids always irritate me!

Beautifully writtenšŸ‘ I agree completely with your description of Arnav's evolution. It really has been very well done.

I don't quite agree with Khushi wanting him to call her Mother Amma. As Buaji and Garima said, he should call her what he feels comfortable with. He hardly knows her, he has some very intense feelings about his own mother and her death, so to just call his MIL Amma without really feeling that she is like his mother, would at this point be impossible. Most of us don't call our mothers and MILs by the same name, so maybe some other term could be used by him insteadšŸ‘šŸ¼
As far as hurting Khushi's family goes, I think Khushi means when he broke up Payals first wedding and then threatened to do the same with her second one. The first one breaking was good for Payal, but if he had carried out his threat, which he was going to before she agreed to the 6 month contract, he would have stopped the second wedding too. Though personally I think he would have just delayed it by a few minutes instead of stopping it, because he knew that Khushi would eventually give in.
All in all, a great episode today. Now to wait and see what else Ms.KKGSR has in store for ASRšŸ˜‰

I completely understand Arnav's standpoint when it comes to not calling Garima "Amma"..But you have to keep in mind, that Khushi is not aware of his tragic past, or under what circumstances his mother died, how she died for that matter of fact, so you cannot blame her for asking him to call her mother "amma"..Yes, you can blame her for continuing to pester him despite his refusal to follow through, she should have realized that prodding into this matter won't bring any good..

I totally agree that he wouldn't have stopped the wedding..He loves his brother too much to do that, and he wouldn't punish Payal and Akash for Khushi's supposed wrong doing..He knew how she would react, he knew she would blindly follow his command if he threatened to hurt his sister, and he did exactly that..

Thank you for the reply, always a pleasure to read different views :)
