That was a beautiful description of today's episode and I loved your comments in purple...fantastic post.Yes...the CVs are more generous towards ASR's character...and I think because Barun depicts it so well, we have fallen in love with a grey shaded character (I highly doubt I would have liked this character if anyone else had portrayed it...)Loved loved loved how sweet he was in the episode today. And one thing I liked was that they showed him coming to know about the financial problems of the Guptas due to the expenditure on things for his comfort. It kind of reminded me of the older episodes when he would come to know the truth about minor misunderstandings he had about Khushi (like when she comes back after the Diwali episode Anjali tells him she is not taking money for training La...).He would immediately soften up...Barun gives fantastic expressions...and today was no exception.Khushi persistent about him calling Garima Amma - poor girl...I think she was trying hard to make him feel that her parents are like his parents..she was just trying to strengthen Arnav's relationship with her family - there was no ulterior motive behind that. She does not know what happened with his Mom...But...after he refused to comply twice, she should have backed off and not pressed the issue.Arnav's reaction, from his POV was totally valid (except, his shouting on her in front of her family...)For him, his past is a festering sore, which continues to hurt him and will not go away...Anyway, although I would have liked him to divulge more information to her, at this point in the story he does not think of her as the KHushi before...he will not share his pain with her as yet. They both did hurt each other, but bonded in a weird way today - by giving each other insights into their respective lives that the other is unaware of.Loved the ending scene...him looking at her in fascination and she gulping down the gol gappas...this is the Arnie she fell in love with...he needs to come out more often!
Shweta..š¤ Agreed, Barun deserves all the praises and accolades coming his way for breathing life into ASR..I too firmly believe that had it been anyone else playing this character, I wouldn't be able to like him as much as I do now..
I agree that Khushi had no ulterior motives when she kept pestering him to call Garima "Amma"..I do think she should have got the message when he constantly refused her pleas, but I guess seeing him apologizing to her family in his own sweet way, propelled her to ask him once more, perhaps to make him feel like he was surrounded by family, wanting him to find a mother in Garima just like she did..
Yes, Arnav telling her anything about his past at this point of the story is not logical..But I actually would have loved to see Khushi prodding a little more, this is the one common ground they share, the lose of their parents, their is lots of bonding prospect here, better luck next time I guess!
Shweta, you said it, they both are bound to each other..Both of them are damages, both have hurt each other intentionally and unintentionally, both oftem bring out the worst in the other, but they are also their truest self only with each other, both always find it so easy to drop down all their guards in front of the other, their relationship is skewed, but very intimate one nonetheless..
Thank you for the reply Shweta, much appreciated..š
