New FF ~ Unbroken Promises

Hello everyone! Well this is my first FanFiction 😕😊😒 so please be kind and comment and like and tell me what you think, honesty is the best policy! Lol anyways hope you like it and well when I wrote this originally I was not in a lovely dovey mood and so don't freak out out what's happened/been revealed so far, I promise i have plans for this FF to an extent and I'm going to do my best not to disappoint anyone so bear with me and let the story unfold on its own(: Thank you!😊

"Name, please?" the headmistress questioned slightly bored. '

My name...? I haven't been asked that in so long, four years to be exact. Four years ago I wouldn't have given a second thought about my name but now everything's changed. Does that include this? My name..?'

Confusion and turmoil began to captivate her just as a
firm yet familiar hand squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. The
confusion and turmoil left her as quickly as it had come when she looked over
into a pair of sweet brown eyes, eyes the she would recognize anywhere, telling
her to go on, that this was her right, a right that no one could steal from her,
try as they might.

"Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada" the words left her lips tangled
with immense pride and love as she continued to stare into those eyes reflecting
the same love and pride with equal intensity.

Her words caused the headmistress to look up suddenly not as bored. This elderly headmistress openly searched the woman in front of her through squinted eyes, searching for proof of her words, which indicated her marriage.

The headmistress looked away even more confused when she encountered nothing but a elegant yet simple ring that hung from her neck from a gold chain, but that could mean anything. The headmistress opened her mouth, ready to question her when she noticed that the so-called Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada was staring off to her right at...nothing in particular with a faint smile lingering on her lips.

The headmistress was now baffled beyond understanding and need to know what this woman was playing at right this instant.

She cleared her throat, once...twice...thrice, each time louder and louder finally getting the attention she was seeking as the woman in front of turned to finally face her,

"Yes ma'am?" Khushi asked sweetly.

"I hope you do realize that we only let single female figures teach at our school and though you bear no symbol of marriage, the name you've given certainly does and if
that's the case then you'll have to kindly leave Mrs.Raizada." the headmistress
said dismissively yet definitely.

The fit of giggles which escaped Khushi's lips left the headmistress baffled once again.

"Oh! Excuse me, but I can assure I'm not married, I'm widowed to be exact well at least in the eyes of the world, but that's another matter entirely." Khushi began explaining softly once her laughter had stopped and continued before the headmistress could interrupt.

"Four years ago, I lost my husband and I removed all and any kind of symbol that represented my sacred bond with him as is tradition. He left the world but he never left me, you see he promised to be there for forever and well he's keeping that promise just for me by being with me all the time even after he left the world, he remained for me, exactly like he is now.

So I'm doing my part by keeping some part of him with me, something that connects me with him and that thing would be my name joined with his."

Her eyes gleamed with love as her lips set into a smile once she finished her explaintion to the headmistress, who had no choice but to look at the woman in front of her in awe.
