So just out of curiosity😛...how many people here are buffs of mythological shows, or have at least seen one? If so, which did you see, and how did you feel about it?

Reason I am asking is that I initially became hooked to IPKKND because I saw some resemblance to it and Ramayan through Shyam (Ravan) and Khushi (Sita)😆, and though now I don't think it's like Ramayan at all, I still would like to know how many of you are mythological buffs. I am a huuuge mythological buff as anyone who knows me can tell you, so I'm on the hunt for some friends.😉

I am great mythological buff too, however , what drew me to IPKKND was actaully the lead pair and their real subtle romance.

Of course, them too, how could they not?😆 I esp love how their relationship is developing now...though it's mostly fights and arguments, they are finding out more about each other.
So what mythological shows have you seen?

Nice to meet you, Gautami!
Out of those shows, I have only watched Ramayana and Krishna. After them I've watched mostly the new mythological shows. Have you watched anything from the last five years?

I was actually thinking the same , but of course I wouldn't want Khushi to be with Shyam for was 14 years before she is saved! yikes...then she dying in the end ...so I didn't want to think about it. BTW I think that Ravaan didn't really touch Sita as much as Shyam does...creeps me out!

hi though im not a hindu i am a mytological buff. and i love hindu mytological. as well as greek or nordic. but anyways i think the Arnav and Khushi resemble Shiva and sati.
i was watching dev adi dev mahadev on life OK. and there was this episode shiv come as a sculpter to the place where sati lives. he comes there to get sati out of her vow to marry a man of her father's choosing. of course he does not tell her. he tells her she should do what her father tells her. and they fight and she misunderstands him and says harsh words to him. then she comes to know that he did a lot of good.
she comes searching for him but he has left and only his stone statue is there in the room. shive is always strict and aloof with sati, though he loves her.
and though she loves him she wants to be with him she has to reject him because of her father and so they constantly fight.
in that scean when sati comes looking for shiv. and does not find him she cries and says that he is there and cares for everyone but only for her he becomes stone. this reminded me so much of Arnav and Khushi. he loves her but does not show it. and is harsh to her but can never see her hurt and does things to ease her pain or discomfort.
she loves him but thinks he does not care for her only. but cares for everyone else but her.
and because of this they both fight all the time. just like Shiv and Sati
well thats what i think

I am a big mythology buff too. When I was growing up in India never missed an episode or Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, Shri Krishna, and more importantly Mahabharath. I clearly remember how Sunday 11:30 a.m. back in the late 80s and early 90s the streets used to look deserted as everybody was glued to the TV to watch Mahabharat. I never missed those 90 episodes of 1hour each, still watch it online in youtube.

Since I moved out of India post marriage in 1999, never watched any mythological show. But last august went to India with my kids, we all loved watching Little Krishna in Nicklodeon,, the animated version, so much that my kids wanted th DVD and now they watch it here everyday.
