going with the flow

So a couple of days ago I posted about how I was going to stop over-analyzing each episode and just go with the flow ... and it has increased my enjoyment of the show tenfold and this is why.

I'm not sure how many of you read romance novels or watch romantic comedies - I am an unashamed and unabashed lover of the genre. The best part for me, whether it be the books or the movies, is the tension before the lead characters/hero & heroine actually declare their love for one another (which usually happens at the end). Going with the flow has absolutely allowed me to enjoy that tension in IPKKND. The constant push and pull between Arnav and Khushi, the little moments (like the sleeping scene in today's episode/ Arnav misssing Khushi in the past couple of episodes) between them - I'm enjoying all of these moments so much more.

I've even started going back to the "love scenes" (thanks Ismailvegazme and Youtube!!) from after the wedding to sort of relive the tension. Now, a lot of those scenes are pretty painful and please believe me, I am not condoning Arnav's actions with respect to forcing Khushi to sleep outside and his general manhandling of her - but again all of those little moments (e.g. when arnav is upset by Buaji leaving Khushi behind) - have become more interesting to watch.

A small piece of me is sort of hoping that the CVs continue to prolong this tension - at least for a little while longer ... I think it will make the experience of watching the ultimate reconciliation and declaration of love between these two all the more enjoyable!
