SO TRUE!! and very much needed!!!

When a person writes- he/she spends the entire time, mind and emotions into the story/words/feelings- it literally is like 'mind body soul' goes into it.

It takes a lot of effort from the writer's side and it is totally unfair and WRONG and literary theft and a person should NOT do it.

Writing is something every person is gifted with and if a person wants to be a good writer- he/she should start putting thoughts and feelings into words. Its as simple as that. Its really pathetic to bank on someone else's hard work.

If they are adopted or inspired from- Give due credit to the original authors and i just wanna say these people one thing- your readers aint that illiterate or dumb.

As a writer i feel offended and even scared to post anything online just because of these things

as a reader- i'd feel even more offended, especially when i dont recognize i was reading a plagiarized work!! waste of time and comments on someone who hardly deserves it.

Why do people do that to literature? It is one hobby/profession/ what ever you call it- where only a hand full are properly recognized. 90% of the people hardly bother about it and the others who read have to come across such things- worst effected are the writers, people hardly take them seriously!!!! . Its really irritating !!

if you are one of them and are reading this!- i tell you- STOP IT! get a life and do something you are good at- other than copying!!

Great post Harshu 😃 I personally (if anyone copied my work) would feel quite aggrevated, my heart goes out to all those writers whose work has been copied and pasted. IT isn't FAIR that they get away with it all, if they do. And as a reader I would feel betrayed almost because all of it is false, its like your supporting a false story.

As a reader I prefer to read works by (in the name of) authors who have really written. 'Cause if the piece of writing is beautiful, I'd really like to know who it is. Most of the times, such works influence how I go about in life. I am always thankful to them. I understand it takes a lot of effort, time and emotions to put down words on paper. Therefore, if somebody else steals these words, it is not fair and a probable crime. I do not support plagiarism and I don't think people should support those who put in artificial "effort" to post these stories. Had they been adapted or only inspired it would be another thing.

Great post, Harshitha and I like how you've named. Quite effective!
