What a silly article! no, really, what was the point? The contention is that the professions of the various leads are background material - of course, duh! You'll find that in Storytelling 102.
Besides It's called Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon - it's (hint!) a love story. Not Diary of a Business Tycoon.

And yes, the whole genre is women oriented. That's how it works. So?

It's a filler artcle - they have to write on TV because it's so big these days, and they just scrape up some current references and string them together. Bah.

Well, I guess there is viewership for that kind of shows- I mean, Aadalat and CID have their own audiences, but prime time viewers want love stories.

I agree to the part about Arnav's clothes & him not having more Fashion shows, parties etc when it comes to portraying of a millionaire fashion house owner.

But I also feel that ASR is the only male character among most of the soaps being aired, wherein he has a substantial role ... So there the article is wrong

You are right, but I would say ASR is not the only one. The male leads of Parichay, Balika Badhu, Na Bole Tum Na Kuch Na Maine Kaha, Pratigya etc. do have something to do other than playing 2nd fiddle to the women. Especially Kunal in Parichay.
Coming to IPKKND- I guess they should incorporate more of Arnav's work in the Arnav-Khushi story so you show him at work and show the lovestory too.
