Aquiline 🤗
Awesome post again. I was waiting for your post and as usual it was brilliant. 👏
To tell you the truth, I was not a happy camper initially, when I saw the episode, and was thinking how the heck could the CVs have written this caper??? But right before I got your pm, I read Crooner's post and got to see the other side of the story, and your post just affirmed what she had to say. Between the two of you, I got to understand the real import behind today's ludicrous episode.
One has to admit, IPK is one of the most layered shows I have seen. When you see it initially, you usually catch what's on the surface only, it is only when you start digging deeper as you so aptly put it, do you see its many facets. Today's episode was a case in point. On the surface it seemed a mindless OTT comedy, Khushi elevated at the cost of ASR & Aakash. But digging deeper...
I was pleasantly surprised to see Anji's doubts take a definite hold. Like I was saying yesterday, I half expected the crook to fib and fool Anji easily, but I was surprised at his audacity. I think he took that route knowing how blind and trusting Anji is where he is concerned. But, by being cocky, even he can be pushing his luck too far. So glad, they didn't show a blind Anji buying his glib story, loved to see the first doubts surface in her mind as well. Also, what was up with HP being there? A witness who may know more??
Loved the way ASR demands respect for Khushi, she is his wife and his employees had better know it and treat her accordingly. 😃 ASR turning around looking for Khushi to articulate his words to his secretary also added a very nice hubby touch. Who else would he rely on other than his soul-partner to help him out?? 😉 Now, I am really curious, what's up with those papers sent by Mr. Roy, it had better be the documents securing Anji's future, either the bank account changes or property changes. The guy on the phone did say that they contain the changes he had requested, so I am leaning towards that for the moment.
Loved to see ASR understand and be amused at his obviously nervous wife, it added a cute dimension to their relationship. He has seen a nervous Khushi before and has always helped her out. First during the dance at Sangeet, second during lunch before the wedding, and again today... Although, he had lost his voice, he was there in person to deal with the business affiliates, if only he had been given a chance. 😆
Khushi's OTT antics in explaining the growth of the company certainly drove me nuts, but as we saw later, it had a purpose. I too loved the way Aakash told her, I should had known, "You always have a reason behind everything you do", hoping to see Arnav's brain working in that direction too and try digging deeper behind Khushi's motive when she told the creep, "Why don't you leave Anjali, if you are so unhappy with her?". Why did she say that to him?? Also, loved to hear Khushi's quick rejoinder to Aakash, "Not everything I do has a purpose, somethings I do, are just for fun." It conveyed a beautiful meaning in my mind, that Khushi does not take life so seriously, she knows when to work and when to have fun too. Arnav needs to learn this trait from her, there's more to life than just work, power & money. Life is too short, to be taken seriously all the time, enjoy it while you can. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. 😉
Of course the main thing that was conveyed in today's episode was without a doubt about honesty. Honest people look you in the eye and talk. ASR got first hand experience & lecture of that from his teacher of life. 😃 In all these days he has known Khushi, she has never looked anywhere but straight into his eye and spoken. How can he now doubt her integrity? She has questioned him before about why he thinks she has hurt him?? If she had even a shade of dishonesty in her, would she have point-blank asked him that?? If Arnav doesn't know how to read people, I am hoping after today's lecture from Khushi, that point has been driven home. He needs to now cross-check and arrive at the truth. I hope that's what we get to see next week after a week-full of light-hearted episodes.
Chalo that's all from me. Once again Aquiline, a fab analysis. 👍🏼
