I have been loving the episodes of this week, after a brilliant Monday, it seemed at first the CVs had gone back to their mindless comedy again, but lying just below the surface of these seemingly light-hearted episodes, is being laid the solid foundation of trust, friendship & love between Arnav & Khushi. The love already exists, but love without trust has no base upon which to stand on hence, it has not been able to make it's appearance openly as yet. As soon as the trust factor is established between the two, love will automatically emerge as it lies dormant for a support to stand on.
Loved to see the loving & caring Khushi back in full-force. Her love & concern for Arnav is paramount, so even when lost in a beautiful RV on the bed, she is the one to realize that the match may burn Arnav's hand. It is she who notices the fire and douses it quickly but her fear for Arnav takes over and she runs to get even more water to douse the already dead fire. Lved the way Arnav ducks under the bucket in order to save himself from being drenched. 😆 Arnav is perplexed to see her panic so much, because he has never seen this panicky side of her. Khushi usually is in control and uses her head. But today, her fear for Arnav took over her senses. Once she is told the fire is gone her next reaction is to check Arnav's hand.
The fight over the couch is cute. They do fight like kids over everything. 😆 Arnav is now so accustomed to fighting with her for every little thing, it has become second nature to him. On the contrary, he is surprised and does not like it at all when she does not. In the couch fight, he gave up the better half for his better half, 😉 although he doesn't consider Khushi as his better half yet, how cute. 😆 What I loved in the morning scene was Khushi when realizing that she and Arnav were on the same side of the recliner, she immediately denies having anything to do with it. This was so cute and sad to see her defend herself as a reflex action. She has so often been blamed & punished for everything that goes wrong, that it has become her second nature to defend herself. She is right too, Arnav, and not her had intruded into her space. 😊
Yes, Sathya, the slow progression from the bottom to the top of the recliner to lying side by side with Khushi was beautifully shown. This is exactly how their relationship is progressing, from both being on either side to being partners side by side in life. Even the MS added a nice touch as a symbolism to their unbroken partnership. Nicely depicted. 👏
Loved the quiet way Khushi tries to remove obstacles or irritants (mosquitoes) from Arnav's life. She does these little things for him without his knowledge, just shows even further how much she cares for him and does not look for his praise. I wish Arnav would soon realize these little gestures of hers.
Anjali lives in a fool's paradise. Her initial excitement and disappointment at the ruin of a make-believe HM was nicely shown. She remains or chooses to remain oblivious to the reality facing her in the face.
At the breakfast table, Anji apparently being Arnav's sister has no clue what he's saying, "Chhotey, tumhe kuchh chahiye??" Really big sis, you have no idea that he needs something?? But Khushi observing from far materializes with just the thing he is looking for. When Arnav shows his hesitation at taking the butter from her, she softly coaxes him into taking it, showing her loving & caring nature. He may be grouchy, but she is always a loyal & faithful friend.
Shyam's jab at Arnav today about his voice, showed his utter stupidity and his growing impudence at taunting ASR. He thinks b/c of his knowledge about ArHi's marriage, he has the upper-hand and is now boldly challenging and taunting ASR. His first-steps towards his downfall.
On the other hand Khushi solidified her position in Arnav's life by being able to decipher and articulate accurately what Arnav was mouthing and even thinking. She is so finely attuned to his thoughts, she even read correctly what he intended to say but hadn't.
What was interesting to watch in this scene was Anjali's gradual acceptance and respect for Khushi's knowledge of anything concerned with Arnav. When initially Khushi told the family please don't bother him with your un-solicited advice, he is getting irritated, Anjali mocked Khushi by saying no one knows Arnav better than Khushi. Khushi accepted this with a smile and Arnav looked on skeptically. But the very next minutes proved to all that what Anjali had said in jest was actually true. No one, not even Anjali knows Arnav as well as Khushi does. But what I liked was the way Nani seemed so pleased with this fact and praised Khushi for her the same that gradually even the mocking Anjali did accept it quite graciously.
To say Arnav on the other hand was surprised would be putting it mildly. He was initially skeptical, but when Khushi kept reading first his words then his mind to amazing accuracy, his skepticism turned to surprise to shock in the end. He was flabbergasted to find out how acutely aware Khushi was of him. Khushi was able to even sense him needing her let alone calling out to her. His silent Khushi, reached the ears of the heart of the person he was calling. If this is not dil-se-dil connection, then what is?? He is now bound to to think, how can she who almost reads my mind, knows me so well, can care for another man?? His first doubts of Shyam's story were sown today. He being a smart man won't take much time to decipher the invalidity of Shyam's statement and will begin his repentance at doubting and then hurting the love of his life so.
Yes, Shyam is digging his grave not only did he take jabs at Arnav, he even took jabs at Khushi whom he apparently "Loves". His condescending statement about Kushi's intelligence did not go down well with anybody, Nani included, who openly challenged him. So glad to see him being caught by Anj later, although, he will fib some excuse tomorrow, but these little mistakes of his will be tightening the noose around him at a later date.
All in all a beautiful episode. 👏 👏
