"Khushi ,you will sleep on the bed." Arnav yelled at Khushi as he saw her carrying a pillow and blankets towards the poolside.
"I will not!" Khushi shouted back.
"I told you to sleep on the bed." Saying this Arnav snatched the blankets and the pillow and threw it on the bed. Arnav walked back to the recliner and lied down and closed his eyes. He could hear Khushi walk over to the bed.
Khushi couldn't understand why Arnav was reacting like this. She lied down on the bed and slowly turned towards her side.
Both of them knew that this was going to be a sleepless night

Laad Governer. Rakshas. Khushi couldn't even fathom how Arnav had become such an important part of her life. She could still remember the day she first met him. She had landed right in his arms. His chocolate brown eyes had entrapped her right then. Thinking back to that day, she felt at heaven in his arms; totally content. It seemed that momentarily she had forgotten about her sister's marriage. Though the succeeding events changed her view about him but she could never forget him. Little did she know that one day he would be her husband. Khushi knew now that Devi mayiya had all planned this from the start. No person can write his own destiny. Destiny rules over us. One event led to another and she ended up working in his company. She remembered the days when he used to treat her so harshly but still she used to put it all back and openly embrace the next day with a smile. When she started working in his house to train Lavanyaji, things had started to change. Or they had already started to change when she had first fallen in his arms. No one knows. Khushi smiled thinking back to the day when she had put orange juice in his shoes just to annoy him. Annoying him had been her most enjoyable experience. But she knew that now things had changed. Khushi did not know the exact moment from when she realized that Arnav meant something more to her. But she knew that the day she saw Lavanya hugging him and a lone tear had escaped from her eye without her knowing about it; that Arnav was someone she would never forget in her life. But Khushi put all these thoughts to the back of her mind and tried to be as happy as possible for Lavanyaji. Shivers are sent through her back even now when she closes her eyes and thinks of the Diwali night. She could see raw passion in his eyes. She could feel the warmth radiating from his palm on her cheek. But Khushi now knew that something had changed Arnav now. He was longer the person she knew before. Khushi thought back to the moment when Arnav had pushed her against the poolside door.
I don't know in the past few days how I have wronged you. I don't know what made you react like this. I wish I could understand you better. But I do know that I hurt twice more when I see the pain in your eyes. I have realized now that I always want to see you smile. For some reason, when you smile; I feel liberated. They say that this happens in love. Although you shout at me; and hurt me very deeply but I have never hated you at any moment in my life. I wish I could put an end to the hurt you make me go through.

Khushi turned to her other side and waited for sleep to invade her.

Arnav turned in his recliner and his eyes fell on the woman who had made his heart whole and also who had managed to shatter his heart into pieces.
Arnav ,who always wrote his own destiny; everything in his life was decided by him, could not understand how Khushi Kumari Gupta had come to play such an important part in his life; that one day she would become his wife. Little did he know that the day she fell in his arms, his life would turn upside-down. Although Arnav had his own share of girls but he knew that she was somehow different. The moment she fell in his arms, he was spell bound to see such a beauty that he never knew existed on earth. Her coming to in his office also greatly surprised him. Also when she started to come to Shantivan to train Lavanya, Arnav had started to look forward to her visit. Arnav remembered back to the numerous occasions when he had shouted at her and how she would forget all of it and come back the next day with a smile. Arnav knew that he did not like to get involved in the complexities of emotions but Khushi had slowly changed it all. He had always unleashed his fury on her because it was an easier way out over all the new emotions that he was experiencing. Arnav smiled to himself thinking back to day when she had accidently applied jalebi mixture all over face. Pagal. The days she used to annoy him. Secretly he used to wish that she would annoy him just so that he could see the smile that lights up her face. The day she had danced at Payal's Sangeet on a song about him. He knew then that this girl had changed him completely. He was no longer the ruthless ASR. To Arnav now those days seem like a millennium had gone by. He remembered the day he had seen her with Shyam. He wished if he could erase this image of her hugging him from his mind. Arnav knew that, that moment had changed him again.
I wish Khushi that I had never come up to the balcony that day. I wish things could go back to normal. But I know it's not possible now. I know I have hurt you so many times in the past. But the hurt that you have given me cannot surpass anything.I know everytime I hurt you I feel twice the pain. Sometimes when I see you chatting away happily I forget for a few seconds all that had happened. But within a short time memories of that fateful day plague me like a nightmare. I wish all this had never happened.

Arnav closed his eyes and waited for sleep to invade him and numb his pain.
