Confusion Galore
Arnav closed his eyes laying on the recliner and realised that Khushi had also switched off the lights. His heart pained - he loved her immensely and at the same time hated her like hell. Why ? Why did you do this to me Khushi? He wondered.
He was fast asleep when he heard a whisper, "Arnavji". At first he thought he was dreaming, but then the fragrance of Khushi was right near his nose, his heart beats had increased, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Khushi, so close to him. The first thought that came was "how will it feel if I kiss her?" .But then reality dawned on him and he sat up with a start, "Khushi!! What the.." Before he could complete his sentence, she put her hands on his lips. "Shhh". she whispered again. He was shocked.. what is this girl trying to do? Seduce me? for what? What the hell does she want now? Yeh Ladki mujhe pagal kar degi.. He stood up and in a fraction of a second both things happened. He heard a small creak of the door and Khushi hugged him tight.
"Khushi, are you alright? Kya hua?" He was dead worried now. "Di outside", she whispered again huskily. "I am sorry Arnavji, Whatever thing you are angry about now, I apologise, but you know, Hume akele neend nahi aati" She said aloud, "Ab gussa chod dijiye pleaseee".
Alas.. if.. if only this was true...he wished from the bottom of his heart. "Accha, first you fight with me and then you try to apologise.. what is this? Kiss and makeup? Oh yes... that is ofcourse a good idea" He said. She stared at him with her big eyes and before she could say anything, his soft lips brushed to hers. All the barriers or hatred, anger she had within her broke down and she passionately responded to him. It had been a few minutes that they were kissing and suddenly she realised Di was gone. She withdrew and said, "Arnavji". Hmm he replied, still lost in the memories of the kiss.. "Di is gone." This brought him back to the present and both pushed each other and separated.
"I think, she is suspicious, so, if you don't mind, please, sleep here on your side of the bed" Khushi told him. "Are you sure?" he asked. "anything for Di" She answered and went and laid down on her side of the bed. He followed quietly and now, his mind was facing a storm. What was it, she was worried that Di would get to know the reality of thier marriage and so, woke him up. That means, she cares for Di. then how can she hurt Di? Is Shyam lying? but then why is Khushi not telling me the truth? Should I ask her outrightly? or should I wait for her to confide? and what was with her responding passionately to my kiss? Does she love me? Does she want me? Does she really wish to have a husband wife relation with me?
He was confused.
