Warning: May end abruptly 😛
Complicated.
That's how Arnav would describe his relationship with Khushi. It was way too complicated.
He walked into the RM after a long day of work, it was an important day for him , delegates from UK had arrived and he had a very important meeting. For the success of his firm, this meeting was crucial. He knew how important it was, he knew consequences if he screwed it up, but yet.. he did just that. Somehow he couldn't focus on anything today. His mind was elsewhere.. Thinking of her.
How could I do this? Why can't I stop thinking about her? He thought to himself. He hated how much she distracted him. After all she's done.. Why can't I forget her? His mind flashed back to that day by the pool .. Where he kissed her.He thought about the day where she kissed him back.. He remembered how his heart leaped with joy at that moment.. He never felt like this before. What could this mean? How could he hate but yet love someone so much? Such a fine line between love and hate, it was often hard to distinguish. He hated how much he loved her. What was he thinking when he married her? All of this was only hurting him more that it was hurting her. Everytime she said "6 months".. A part of him was broken. He didn't want her to leave.. Bur at the same time a part of him wanted her to go.. Far away from him.. So that he could forget her. Forget everything.
He shut down the part of him that cared, it was something he had gotten used to by now.
He closed his eyes firmly, took a deep breath and walked into the Raaizada Mansion. It was late, Khushi must be upstairs he thought. Sighing, he went upto his room.. Expecting to see her upto something again but instead he saw her sitting by the dressing table staring at something far off with a lost look in her eyes.
He saw her fidgeting around as she quickly wiped a tear off her face.
He could never see her cry.Part of him wanted to go upto her, ask her what's wrong.. Hold her..Care for her..
But there was another part of him that couldn't forget what she did. He was conflicted internally..
Everytime he let his feelings come to surface, even a little bit.. He would quickly snap and close off. It was... complicated.
Irritated with himself, he threw a blanket over her and said sharply,
"Look, I had a rough day, the last thing I want to do is see your face"
She slowly got up, dazed.. She picked her blanket up and slowly made her way outside.
She still had tears in her eyes.. Must be another one of her silly reasons.. He thought to himself. He pushed that thought away and went to bed trying to avoid thinking about her or anything to do with her.

It was past midnight, the moon was bright and the night was dark. Arnav, quietly sleeping, suddenly woke up to the sound of a loud, fierce thundering sky .A large crack echoed across the room as the lighting returned the thunder's call. It was raining heavily and the room lit up with a brilliant white light as lighting struck the skies.
"Khushi..?!"
