Lovely post Doods. You covered everything, the past, the present and the future. You know, today when I saw the episode, I was sure that I am going to write in my post that, "Take a Bow, IPKKND team" but after reading your post, I also want to say "Take a bow, Doods"
The CV's have so beautifully woven the Anjali piece in this whole scenario. I, initially thought that she will be the last player to come in picture of this game but the way they have started including her, making her a witness for some of the important scenes, so in future she can start connecting the dots, is just mind-blowing. I guess that's why they are CV's. When I saw the episode the first time, I was confounded why Shyam and Anjali scene was put in but at the end of that beautiful confession, I could only think of saying, "Thank you, Shyam Manohar Jha, to make sure that the lady of the manor witnesses one of the most beautiful and important scene of this epic tale." I, so hope, she is recorded it but alas I can just hope'.
Of all the characters in this story, I love ASR/Arnav. I love to explore all the layers that make this complex man and I just love to write and analyze each and every action of his but today I want to talk about Khushi Kumari Gupta-Singh Raizada, "Female Instinct" and the very promo because of which I started watching this serial, the fourth one,
"Chahkar bhi mein tumse door kyun nahi reh pati...Kyunki mera dil tumehein pukharta hain"
Khushi Kumari Gupta, the small town girl, who believes in everything good, who did not know the meaning of "bad" ,was shown the harsh reality in the worst possible way. That time, two people entered her life , one who destroyed it, one who saved it. One who kept putting hurdles in her path, one who kept solving them. In retrospect, it should have been Shyam , she should have been attracted to or fallen in love with. But even with all the bad things ASR made her face, and all the good things, Shyam did for her, her instinct always pushed her towards ASR. It was not love at that time, it was not even like, it was pure female instinct. That intuition, which told her that behind all that hard exterior, is a person who is not a villain, a person who will not harm her, a person who has a sense of right and wrong and a person who will always do what he feels is right. Similarly, this same instinct always made sure that she remained a step back from Shyam, even though according to her family he was a descendant of God.
With that said, if we all think for a second of Arnav and Shyam, as just two people in her life, her feelings towards Arnav should be exactly the same as Shyam. They both have hurt her, they both have hurt her families, they both have broken her trust and in their ways, they both have degraded the very institution of marriage that she believes in, Shyam by not telling her he was married, Arnav by forcing her to marry him and without believing in it.
Then, if thought logically, on this day of truths, if Shyam is the "Bhura insaaan", shouldn't Arnav also be the "Bhura insaan"? Today she, even in that intoxicated state, without a thought, without a single hitch in her sentence, announced to Shyam, "mein aapko nahi bataungi, aap jaise bhura insaan ko to kabh nahi". But when it came to Arnav, she paused to think, she did not utter the same words or words to that effect to him. Why, because again that female instinct ,which even in her bhaang induced state warned her, that Shyam has and will always do things with an ulterior motive but Arnav has and will always do things to protect, not harm even if it puts him or his position in peril,as seen in the FB's
So today, after giving her truth to Shyam, when Arnav, even in his bhaang induced is trying to ease her hurt, for a second, her truth, was to move away from this "Bhura" person too, thus giving rise to the mighty ASR in Arnav. (Barun, you are awesome) But this was not Khushi's "Dil ki baat", nor her instinct it was something completely different. Thus, with her ever existing courage ,she stopped the mighty ASR, she stood in front of the mighty ASR, took hold of his hands, cupped his face and spoke about her innermost feelings. Today, her questions were not, "Why you married me? What prompted you to hurt me and my family? What changed you from one moment to other?" as one would have expected but her questions were "Why does my heartbeat increase when I am near you? Why cannot I forget all the sweet things ? Why am I unable to understand the reason of not being able to hate you? " In short, "Chahkar bhi mein tumse door kyun nahi reh pati"
Such Simple questions but so very potent. But it was not the questions that touched the hard-hearted ASR or undid him, it was the simpleness, the innocence, the purity, the beauty of those question that shook him, that crumbled him, that did something that I never thought possible, it brought a tear to mighty hard-hearted ASR eyes. Yes, we have seen Arnav cry, yes we have seen him betrayed, yes we will see him broken but a tear in ASR's eyes was a sight to behold.
Lastly, his answer, who would have thought Arnav could speak in Khushi language but he did just that. The guy who understands only power and money, whose life is based on logic and practicality, uttered the words, which he knew his Khushi would understand, would connect to, the illogical that is logical but yet so beautiful, so heart-touching and so out of this world, in short "Mera dil tumhein pukarta hain."
Now, I guess the good days are over and its time to witness the remaining lines of that promo. I always thought that the two players in this game, Arnav and Shyam, have always hold equal amount of cards and Cvs have still managed to maintain it. If today, Shyam found out that Arhi are married and not together, Arnav almost has or will soon find out that all is not true in Shyam's story. Now we just have to see how these cards are played and how this leads to that much awaited confrontation.
PS: Wow, the post has became so much longer than I thought, I think I will stop before Doods and Tant kick me out...
