I like Abhaas Mehta...he's good looking, has a nice screen presence and when he was new to the serial I remember people actually liking him and wishing he remains a good friend to Khushi.

Then they changed his role completely into a negative one...making him the most hated character on the serial.

It all depends on who the director picks to cast in a particular role...

not that i dislike abbhas but no way he looks younger than anyone on the show atleast not younger than anjali,khushi,asr,askash,payal,nk...not at all...he is too well built to look younger than any of these.he is good looking but not younger looking...just like lavanya did not look younger than khushi(in reality sana is younger)...no offence intented to any abbhas fans😊

Undoubtedly Abhass plays the role of Shyam brilliantly. 👍🏼

I mean you know you're doing your job right when everyone just hates your character. 👏

And a story always gets juicier once the villain shows up. 😃

But Abhass as ASR...What the..? 🤪

Abhaas actually has chemistry with Daljeet. I remember when Shyam was first revealed as Anjali's husband during Teej, I liked Abhaas and Daljeet together.

Infact I would have liked watching Shyam and Anjali scenes more than Payash scenes if Shyam wasn't negative.

hahaha...you cracked me up..
No one can match Barun Sobti..
The way the shows emotions like sad, anger, happy, romantic, flirty, hatred, love and so on so forth..is Unbelievable..His eyes speaks louder than the dialogues..
Abhaas is a great Actor too..but he is not good with expression, he tends to have one expression only all the time..lol

In short..Barun Sobti was meant to do ASR...he is brought ASR to life..and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!

I have to agree with the fact that today's episode Barun was looking tired and old. Gruesome shooting schedule I guess.. Undereye circles...

Whereas Abhaas looked well rested and handsome..

Though I respect your opinion, I personally feel that no Abhaas is not the man to play ASR. Barun Sobti exudes ASR's personality and the tub of gel is not his fault, the hair and make-up artists. Plus ASR doesn't twitch, Shyaam has this weird nose twitch. And though Abhaas is a good actor, I feel he is not as amazing as Barun Sobti. Plus the chemistry btw Khushi and ASR cannot be replicated if Abhaas was playing ASR.

P.S. This is my opinion, I do not mean to disrespect ur post
