My two cents since I do not want to appear to be negative in anyway but I do have a concern that we are dividing ourselves into camp Arnav and camp Khushi! That can only hurt the rankings of the show at a time when, in my opinion, the creatives have already done some damage in their timing and not fully using the romance theme over the Valentine's day period! Don't get me wrong I am not saying I agree or disagree with what their plans are for the show I just think they missed a huge opportunity to blow out the TRPs over that period. The fans were already in a frenzie over the romance segments, so we could have had a couple more days to satisfy our fantasies over a day that is dedicated to romance and love! But what's done is done!
Right now both Arnav and Khushi are suffering and for no good reason other than their inability to communicate with each other! Sounds familiar!! I think the fans who are displeased with Arnav are really expressing their frustration with the creatives of the show because once the decision was made to move forward with the marriage and hate track then it should have shown ASR as being prepared to face both families! That would have show strength not weakness and be in character for ASR.
By not responding to the reasons for the marriage implies that it was a forced marriage and in that case how would this be effective with respect to the message to Shyam? No doubt the story will unfold but there is room for improvement and some consistency in the characters!
This forum and all other social networks exploded about this show during the week of Jan 24 and so did the TRPs! Why? Because of the sizzling hot chemistry between Barun and Sanaya! So if the intention is to keep the ratings consstently high which would ensure we have this show on air for a long time then the creatives must listen to the feedback for areas of improvement!
So with all due respect to everyone, if the script needs to incorporate more of what appeals to the audience then yes the creatives need to make adjustments! All products after it is launched thrive on feedback! A producer or director can incorporate this feedback responsibly to give us a better product!
So can we please refrain from telling folks on this forum to "chill out " " get a life" " the show is not reality" all because someone has taken the time to advise the producers, directors etc that there are areas for improvement! In retrospect it could be that the ones giving these advices are in fact in denial and will accept the show regardless of the content? That would be sad because this show has the ability to take Indian television in a new direction! In this age of social networking feedback is essential if you want a better product!
Imagine a show with Barun and Sanaya that provides us with the fantasy we crave but also a show that is responsible in the social issues one of which remains a day to day battle for the respect and fair treatment of women at home and the workplace!
Maybe I said a dollars worth instead of two cents because I really enjoy the show and want to see it be the best it can be!
