If a popular member even makes a silly post there will be numerous replies at least 5 or 6 pages but if a unpopular member makes a interesting post hardly people reply they even don't press like button.(it happened to me so many times),that's why I just reply people don't make any new topic even though I am a senior member here. Why are people so partial here?
😡

People start to rely on posters they are familiar with. Funnily enough, I have been here long but my posts don't pick up as easily. Hopefully I am getting there.

The BEST topic in the entire WORLD! It wouldn't harm to take 5 seconds to even type 'good' for someone's hard work 👍🏼

It's a wonder how some people want to keep their post count at zero. Why join IF if so? 😡

Honest truth Nanna, people want to read but not admit to being into Fanfics or soaps 😆

totally Mary. The amount of time and work one puts for a Fan Fic is huge. And we write for our own satisfaction but every writer looks for compliments and appreciation.

when you don't get enough of what you initially expect from the readers, it's disheartning. the least they can do is to like the post.
But is it too much to ask to write a short comment if our work really did please them? Don't we earn that much from our readers?

Exactly, after all the hours we put in...

Mary Barton, I CANNOT agree more. Initially, i had no idea how much EFFORT goes into posting even a short story, or an OS. Now i do. Its not just about the writing, though that is difficult enough.

I'd like to just say this to the non writers, who are readers--- It might seem like these fiction pieces are just a walk in the park, but trust me, for every piece you see posted, there are at least three versions, scenes, plots, story lines, that were considered, started, worked on, and abandoned. And those people who do write, obviously do it in their spare time, between dealing with actual jobs husbands, basically, life. and its done so the forum dwellers, can have a quiet few moments of (hopefully) pleasure, and maybe a smile for a minute or two.

Personally, I want to add that I never realized how much damn work went into PMing, posting, responding to messages, just shaping a narrative, Now that I've started my own piece, I realize Good GOD, its draining! Draining, emotionally exhausting, headache inducing. And yet some of the writers are truly so damn good, you would be paying good money for their books or stories if Amazon or Simon and Shuster, or any sensible publishing house came calling and took them away.

Their work here is free, their imagination, their effort, to make people laugh, cry, feel emotions, its all free. Please, in return-acknowledge that you read it, hated it, loved it, wished it was different! But express something! ...done with my rant. Thanks!
