This post was a must! And seriously I do agree with everyone, he's just pissed and it will take time to heal but this doesn't reallt mean that he's a jerk or villian of the show...

ASR is not a perfect guy. He has flaws. He makes mistakes. But don't we all do make mistakes in real life?

We want shows to be as realistic as possible but we can't handle realistic characters on TV. We want them to be perfect.

My like button isn't working.

Honestly, he's not the worst Male lead I've seen. As big of a fan I was of KYPH...Angad was just absolutely HORRIBLE in his zaib/Angad (right after AK marriage) phase...He raped her, he was abusive with his wife's best friend, he pretty much told her to get the hell out of his life and when he found out that she has their son, he blackmailed her about that too...

Shiv in Karam Apna Apna was pretty bad too in the beginning where he married the main female lead so that when she died (because according to his kundali...his first wife would die within a few months of their marriage) so that he could marry his childhood love after she died...absolutely TERRIBLE.

Jai Walia in Kasamh Se...he was horrible at times too

and the ones you listed were also bad..

And honestly, think about it...they didnt show us ArHi getting married...maybe after they left the house, Khushi suggested that they just pretend that they're married for 6 months. Why would Arnav want to save his sister's marriage only for 6 months?! give it a thought people. This isnt about Khushi...I've said this before too. To me, it seems like somewhere deep inside he is sub-consciously protecting Khushi from Shyam too.

Maybe he rethought on what he'd seen on the terrace and remembered that khushi had PUSHED shyam away, and that she hadnt hugged him back. and the time when she cried on her shoulder and he'd guessed that khushi's finace must've hurt her...then lavanya saying "did you know khushi's finace's name is also shyam?"...then Khushi telling arnav that he trust was broken so she knows what a girl goes through when her engagement breaks...khushi's expressions when anjali had introduced shyam (after which we got the 'dont you ever ever do this to me again" line from ASR). and then all the ArHi love scenes we had during the sangeet/haldi etc.

Did you not see the anger in his eyes towards Garima when she slapped khushi. Did you not see the pain in his eyes when khushi was crying in yesterday's episode. when she agreed for the 6 month contract marriage and cried by the pool side, look at Arnav's face carefully. He doesnt look smug or happy that she's agreed. He looks sad and pained..

And most of all, put yourself in his shoes. I think if I were in Arnav's shoes and I loved my Di as much as he loves Anjali, I would go to any length to ensure the safety of her happiness. In my opinion, his actions are justified as far as his situation goes. (And i'll probably get bashed for saying that) but just a few days ago, everyone was bashing Khushi because she didnt say the "correct lines" on the terrace which led to this misunderstanding...clearly a lot of the people change their opinions in the blink of an eye...and its just really annoying to read all that stuff here.

Just sit back, and enjoy the show people. The CV's have promised a twist, Zee_News also promised a zabardast track. So take a deep breath, be optimistic, try to look at the situation from that character's point of view before bashing them (and that does NOT mean what YOU would do in that situations...it means what would you do if your personality and mentality was like theirs and you were in that situation...)

All this bashing of characters must affect the actors who play these roles and if I were an actor...I dont think I would be too pleased to know that people who were my fans an episode ago hate my character now.

Just a request from a girl who watches the show and has taken the new twist with an optimistic interest, and who doesnt want to read all this character bashing on the forum in every single topic.

thank you.

the complexities make asr intriguing...but sometimes the makers tend to go overboard...from the above mentioned shows I've only watched kutumb & loved the show then(btw pratham doesn't really rape gauri )...but back then i was a kid & what probably appealed to my sensibilities then may not appeal now ... i want the show i watch to strike a balance between reality & fiction...no doubt it is a world of make belief but at some level you need to identify with it & i would like the content to be progressive...the hate track could have been handled in a better way but unfortunately the makers chose to go down the usual route now the only hope lies in the way they handle the way khushi deals with the whole thing(hope they don't turn her into a cry baby) ...who says anybody hates asr well there are certain streaks in his personality which doesn't really go down too well at times ( i am not saying model him on some of the ideal characters a far cry from reality ...asr unlike most male protagonists we see on tv is well written & by far the most intriguing male characters ever...i think we shouldn't come to such conclusions & question the intentions of the people who voice their opinion when they disagree with certain content that is shown on the show.. ...we love asr that's the reason we hate it when he's portrayed in a certain fashion & the same goes for khushi...

Arnav and Khushi both made the wrong choices and their current situation is the result of that. Now they must both take the consequences.
Seriously. Stop hating on Arnav. Stop hating on Khushi. Both are flawed and both have made mistakes. That's what makes them beautifully human.
Now as for Shyam - how can anyone compare a psychotic, deluded snake to Arnav? 😆

Compared to the other male leads Arnav's actions are justified and is consistent with his character. But my request to the CVs will be not to ruin his character for portraying the hatred track. Please don't make him rape his wife, beat her.For Gods sake please don't make him a woman abuser.

Lets do not forget how he reacted when Khushi cut her hands. The man who can not tolerate blood on KKG,how can he himself physically torture Khushi?
