Good post, while you seem to have put in a lot of thought to your analysis, i do think this is a real marriage. It probably is a contract marriage with terms favoring Arnav.
If you are going by spoilers that say that Khushi looses everything the same source says it is a contract marriage and the reason Khushi was upset is that though she loves Arnav he does not believe her and she has to go in for this kind of a contract and not her dream wedding with the blessings of her family.
Secondly Gul mentions that Arnav hurts her and when the truth comes out he feels he has ruined her life. I am sure as the track progresses he will continue to hurt her with his cold, rough and indifferent behavior. Ruining her life can also mean being forced into a contract marriage with someone with no love and respect especially for someone like Khushi who so believed in the prince charming and fairy tale romance. So i think it is a contract marriage, the following weeks are going to be heartbreaking for Arhi before things finally begin to look up again
