You may be on to something! There may also be some of Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester in both ASR and Khushi! The darkness and mystery of Rochester is ASR but love can also soften him. Anjalie and Lavanya could represent the "other commitments" in his life which prevents him from moving on and of course KKG is an orphan with spunk and she has acted as a caretaker for the Raizadas!
Good analysis and it sheds insight for me personally on why I am so involved with this show! Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice are 3 of my most favorite books! Of course Barun's acting and GOOD LOOKs are more than enought reasons to get totally hooked!😉

My thoughts exactly. Some time back when I was in the forum last year I made Arnav's comparison to Heathcliffe. He has so much of H in him. And Khushi has cathy in bits and pieces like how she likes to tease and make Arnav jealous and all.

But now that u mention it... I do believe that there is a lot of pride and prejudice in the serial too and lots of Darcy and Lizzie in Arnav and Khushi. Thank God for that. My two all time fav classics, one dark and one more positively ending. I am glad now that the serial has moved from its more wuthering heights phase to a more P&P phase. So looking forward to our telly Darcy eating the humble pie and confessing and completely sweeping off Khushi of her feet with his confessions of love!!!!

Waiting waiting waiting!!!

So True!! When I saw this post - I knew I had to post in my agreement because Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights are two of my most favorite novels. No doubt - its Mr. Darcy and Heathcliff that make the novels a favorite. And to some extent - Arnav has almost all the qualities of both the literary male icons. Arnav has always been Mr. Darcy to me in every sense and now since the last few episodes - I have started seeing the shade of Heathcliff in him. I would mention he has still not reached the possessiveness and obsession that Heathcliff had - yet I do think that very soon enough we will see him portray that as well.

Beautiful post! They sure are giving us a literary delight and I would love to see the madness of Heathcliff in Arnav. Barun Sobti will rock it.

P.S : - He also has the mysterious element of Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre. He sure is a literary delight!!

I sooo agreee !! I was thinking this for a while I alws thought Asr is soo much like Darcy and Khushi is just like Liz Bennet but now I can see shades of Heathcliffe in him These two are my all time favourite novels and I am sooo in love with this show and the couple even more!!
