... except love Arnav Singh Raizada?
I know that everyone does this, but I couldn't help myself. I needed to share what the episode today made me think and feel, because, oh boy, did it make me feel. It takes a lot for a character to make me feel frustrated, upset, hurt, sad, desperate, and totally broken all at once for said character. But Barun's performance slammed into my head like a baseball bat and the painful after effects still linger.
I feel horrible, absolutely horrible for Arnav - and I love it. Yes, I should probably be in a padded cell and pumped full of pills or something.
Gosh. I have a thing for tormented male souls. Like, I really really really can't stop myself from loving them. In today's episode, Arnav totally made me fall for him again. And I hate that I love him. But that broken expression, the surrender in his shattered posture, the haunted eyes, the dark anger...
I mean, can you blame me?
Anyway, today's episode just rocked my heart and soul. The joy on Anjali's face as she realized that she was pregnant made me sad. The unadulterated hatred, anger, and hurt in Arnav's eyes made me ache. Shyam's mocking expression seemed to just humiliate Arnav - which was painful to watch and I really want to take Twitchy's head and smash it into the nearest convenient wall. The powerlessness that Arnav's eyes seemed to convey whenever he looked at his sister - the need to tell her and the need to protect her colliding while Shyam laughed silently in the background.
I loved how Arnav put his arms around Anjali - conveying a silent message to Shyam that he's not to touch her ever again. That Arnav will protect her. Beautiful.
Honestly, the only thing that frustrated me was Khushi's decision that she wouldn't tell the truth to Arnav because Anjali's pregnant. I mean, seriously. Now she really just has it coming - whatever the consequences. After having witnessed the insanity that Shyam displayed, after having heard him confess so crudely, she's still ignoring the right thing to do? Ugh. I wanted to strangle her.
Sigh.
I do hope that the writers make her character grow and fix this little error because it is bugging me. I realize that now is not the time to drop the bomb in Anjali's lap - especially considering her condition (and as the article said today; Anjali is way more damaged than Arnav, so if the truth has to come out, Arnav is the right person to help her face it). I'm just really crossing my fingers that Khushi will step up soon. I need her to come out strong.
And as for Arnav hiding the truth for now... I do understand his struggle, but I just think it's really important that the writers don't neglect the impact that seeing his sister with Shyam from now on will have on him. I need to know that Arnav wants to kick Shyam out the first chance he gets, but that he's assessing the nuksan and so he's biding his time, coming up with a plan.
*crosses fingers*
Regardless. Sigh, what an episode 👏 I love how the director allowed Barun to play out Arnav's entire scene by the car instead of skipping to another scene right in the middle of the emotional outburst (as has happened a few times before 😆). I got the whole powerpacked experience. Barun's really something with those eyes of his...

Its always dangerous to support one lead over the other in this forum but arnav totally and completely stole the show tonight... from his reaction to the news about the pregnancy all the way to the very end in the precap

HE WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY MINDBLOWING

the creatives did a great job too, after building up the anguish he felt bcos of shyams actions to remembering his mother and then finally all the moments with khushi... the flashbacks really brought home the issues he was dealing with

i m sure khushi will be just as brilliant during their confrontation when it finally happens but till now arnav has been justified in all his actions, today he noticed khushi's discomfort when they were all together in the room... he was looking for her reaction and he is completely justified to think she is unhappy about the pregnancy, he can only go with what he knows, i dont understand how ppl can be uppset with him for not knowing khushi would not have done all that... there is no trust between them yet

in short, a girl can only love arnav for showing all his weaknesses today and hope khushi's love will teach him to trust her

Oh, well said 👏 You put words on my thoughts exactly.
He's been through so much in one night - one hit after another. In his place, even I would've reacted the same way. Those scenes wouldn't have worked without Barun's soul-touching eyes and brilliant performance.
I do hope that Khushi will step into character and attempt (with claws, if necessary) to explain everything to Arnav in tomorrow's episode. I want to sympathize with her. But right now, I can't.
*looks around and ducks before chappals can hit me* 😆
